It wasn't any jazz. Why are we Nigerians like this. They used chlorophorm to lace your environment and you slept until the effect wore off and by then they were done and away.

Ensure your house is secured enough such that it can't be assessed easily. If the items cannot be tracked then they are lost. If you had insured your house and items inside it, the insurer would have replaced all items. You may consider taking some of these steps going forward. Sorry for your loss.

The random knowledge i have about it is that it is that substance they use at the morgue to secure corpses from quick and fast decay. I recall once while serving (here in Lagos) I was staying with my uncle at Fola Agoro. Some guys came and painted the house (it was a duplex). They identified a small window upstairs in a tiny room that my uncle used as his library. In the night I was jerked from sleep when my uncle came downstairs to wake mu up and inform me that a thief came into the house and was leisurely carting things away and he woke up and the thief fled and jumped through that little window. Days after the event we continued to notice missing items..especially items that they could have been passing to some other person downstairs.

Our relation in the army told us that they must have used that item to induce deep sleep and my uncle possibly woke up when it had worn off.

You're not far from truth. This was what welcome me and my family into 2020. Jan 02 was that fateful night. They carted everything including foodstuff, I I'm grateful to God no life was lost. I know voodoo can't work in my home, I suggest this was used.

Is it that there's a charm they do use for this kind of operation? If yes, how can it been neutralized to prevent such occurrence next time?

I can relate.

Many months back in my compound, I don't know how it was discovered that our door could be kicked open. It's a seemingly private compound (unknown people are hardly allowed to walk around) with just 4 flats.

Unfortunately, we don't have burglary proofs, etc. So one night, my next door neighbour banged on our door around 2am to tell us he was just robbed while he and his fiancee were asleep.

The thief or thieves broke down the main door and stole some pricey items and also broke his room door where they were sleeping and took their phones. They didn't wake up till they left even if he said his fiancee is a very light sleeper.

Like the next week, it was our turn. I heard a loud sound and I jumped up and told my husband. He ran to the sitting room but the person bailed. He took our remote in a haste thinking it was a phone.

The third time they came, they went to that same neighbour's flat, took the keys to one of his bikes( he runs a delivery service) and were rolling the bike away.

I had heard a loud sound when the door was broken into and woke my husband. My husband just went to stand by the window and saw them rolling the bike away. He raised alarm and they left it and fled.

I don't understand why we could hear it but my neighbour couldn't. Anyway, they changed our doors to metal doors and did barb wire around the fence immediately before anyone could sleep peacefully again in that house.

The thieves most likely used Chloroform.

This is real ooo... it happen to me about 4 days ago and they took goods worth of 800k away and me and my wife was in the room sleeping .... is just like a magic to me cause any small sound I will have woken up ....may God safe us from these evil people

Same thing happened to me in 2016. Entered my room took the laptop and left. Woke up the next to see the back door wide open.

If it actually existed they won't be robbing your house. They'd rather be robbing the CBN or some banks. All they have to do is wear masks and steal as much as they can, while everyone around them falls into deep slumber.
And do you know there are substances which they could have used to make you remain asleep or unconscious, so that they can carry out their operation peacefully?
