Samuel Kalu joins Katsina United on loan

Nigeria Sport

Samuel Kalu joins Katsina United on loan
Katsina United has secured the signing of Samuel Kalu ahead of the forthcoming 2020-2021 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

The Northern side secured the signing of the player on a season-long loan from FC Ifeanyi Ubah deal over the weekend.

Kalu only joined the Anambra Warriors at the beginning of last season from Nigeria National League side Jigawa Golden Stars.

“I’m happy to be here, this a new challenge, and I am ready for it. I appreciate FCIU for the opportunity and I am grateful.” He said after the deal was completed.

Kalu enjoyed a good spell with Wikki Tourists of Bauchi before their relegation from the top flight.

The young winger scored twice for the Anambra Warriors in the league last season.

I'm having the feeling that Nwakali might be call up to the NT in this forthcoming friendly matches and qualifier since aribo won't be available. Some people go put hand for electric if rohr invite Nwakali grin grin

I read somewhere today, that Olise of reading is in line for a call up as replacement for Aribo which I seriously applaud... that's a welcome development

We need steal that boy asap from France being that no change of nationality is needed at this point for a 18 years old French lad balling hard

NWAKALI is ours already but we need olise asap since Eze for now is not sure

Dude would have prefer play for England..and be using Nigeria to cruise and threaten the English FA to fetch a call up
some of us here would have been crying and calling on ROHR and NFF to do all they can to get him for the SE

Komekn would have come here like the English media mouth piece to hype him to high heavens and tell us how is better than all our wingers

One club in England would have been pricing him for 100 million pounds now

And you Mazi Omanambala would have come here to belittle him and pour out your beef with borough boys

Careful man, Careful. I repeat Uzoho over the rest, especially Maduka, unless he proves himself worthy. Maduka sits unless he proves himself. Uzoho is not the only one that needs to fight for a place. Maduka has to do the same. I wouldn't be surprised if he warms the bench for most of this season. Same goes for Seb Osigwe, he just joined Lugano.cheesy. Which kain yeye analysis be this, en? cheesy. Replace all the goalkeepers for what? How about introduce them one at a time. I doubt Maduka is a good goalkeeper. I hope he proves me wrong.

You doubt Maduka is a good keeper? Have you ever taken the time to watch a game?

Elyte89, in the spirit of keeping promises, just wanna notify you that your son Haaland will be in action in about 20mins from now for Dortmund vs Duisburg in a preseason friendly. wink

Meanwhile back to Naija players...

Peter Godly Michael bagged a brace today for Øygarden in the Norwegian 2nd tier (The OBOS Ligaen). Now has 6 goals and 1 assist in 11 starts. 14 apps overall.

Kid's been good this season. He is on loan from his parent club, top-flight side Valerenga (former club of Ejuke).

Another Nigerian also got the scoresheet for Øygarden. His name, Charles Chinedu Ezeh. A Midfielder.

Still in Norway, Igho Ogbu Played all 90 in defence for Sogndal as they won 3-0 over Jerv away from home. Also in the OBOS Ligaen.

He is just 20 year old. What exactly are you expecting? Was Uzoho not in the B team of Depor before the world cup?

Na black and white TV i get. Calm down @tbaba1234. cheesy. Besides tier-4 German league matches are rarely streamed. All you get to see are highlights, which are mostly selective. I am not moved by that. Perhaps now we get to watch 90 minutes of him in action for Sparta, if he ever gets one. cheesy. You made a good point though, and i'll take your advice. I can give myself the chance of watching him now. Eredivisie dey show for my Black and White TV. cheesy

I rate Olise pretty good but I don't think an approach has been made yet for him. And the truth is this, even Olise has to show more before we invite him. The Super Eagles is already at a level now where not just anyone gets an invite b'cos he is foreign born or b'cos he is based in Europe. You gotta earn that invite. You gotta know it is not a walk in the park. But ofcos there will always be a few exceptions for the sake of the Big picture and for the best of our NT.

Dude hasn't done much to be honest but the talent is indeed there. And if K.Nwakali has to show more to get invited than so does every body else who hasn't done much.

The only reason I will agree to an invite for him now is so that we can beat out the potential competition that could be set to lure him internationally. That's all.

As for Eze, he is one player that can walk into our team and even possibly lock down that #10 role. He will surely give Iwobi a big fight for a starting shirt as our #10. But the issue remains that his heart seems set on England for now. Time will tell on Eze.

As for racism, players just have to develop thick skin. I know it is difficult but that is the only way racism can be curb in football.

All I can say about Nwakali is that if a coach is bringing in a young player in at 60 minutes when leading by one single goal in the first match of the season, that young man is quality. He wasn't super human out there but I won't be surprised if he starts the next match.

He dropped the ball when he said what I think he said about Nwakali (or is it Onomah he meant?) not being good enough to lace Olise's shoes... Like what the hell!!!

Dude admitted K.Nwakali is better than Onomah and Onomah is also a decent player. Now can I sincerely say Olise is better at this moment than Onomah?? I don't think so but I think Olise has a higher ceiling than Onomah talent wise. And I also believe the comeback of Nwakali is gonna put him out there again for La Liga to have a taste and see he always had it. Nwakali's ceiling is still pretty damn high too.

I only sincerely believe Onomah is NOT a starting XI material for us. He can only be a squad member. No way is he starting over Iwobi or an Aribo or an Ejaria. Nwakali plays a different role to Onomah so no need mentioning Nwakali when he gets his call up much later b'cos that is inevitable provided he keeps at it in La Liga.

So saying Nwakali or Onomah cannot lace Olise's shoes right now is absolutely hilarious and shows a clear bias in analysis. Make we dey fear God for analysis abeg. I don talk am before.
