Na wah o.
Whoever knew a day like ds will come in ds great country where marriage to a 'Yoruba muslum' would be a misnomer.
Is ds how great the hate for 'Yoruba/Yoruba Muslim' has become?
cool

Well, we once waited impatiently to eat our Muslim neighbours' Sallah/Ileya rice and meat, We shared Xmas & Easter rice & meat with them too.

But 9ja continued to worsen and now there's suspicion everywhere.

MURIC has a firebrand Yoruba man as leader now. SW should not take the traditional religious tolerance for granted. We once did throughout the South & Middle Belt.

I think I remember her saying this in one interview on morning Ride program then. She had a son (mustapha) for him.

Beautiful woman.

She still my best though when it comes to best vocalist. In fact, I sing like her and people fall in love with my singing anywhere I go to minister in songs.

Thumbs up Mam.

The woman said my husband is a Youruba, and equally a muslim. I don't know what is controversial about this. She gave an unambiguos information.

I am a Yoruba, but very embarrassed by that heading. In Yoruba race, in almost every family you must see a Christian, a Muslim, traditional worshiper, another that doesn't even believe in those shenanigans and yet another that is in between all.

Little Wonder you can hardly find infighting cos of faith. To a typical Yoruba man, his brother(s) or sister(s) comes before FAITH

I really don’t understand op’s intention by the ‘Yoruba Muslim’ definition of a Nigerian.

Onyeka Onwenu could as well have married an Hausa or Ibo man.

After all Ned Nwoko is not defined/described by his religion.
is he Yoruba? yes, is he a Muslim? Yes, so what's wrong with the definition? I just don't get

Big yes, the Yoruba Muslim can not lead prayers when a Hausa Muslim is around. An Hausa Muslim will not join prayers if a Yoruba Muslim is leading cause...

As a Yoruba man and a Muslim, I wouldn't blame Op even though he might have ulterior motive for the thread title because the woman said the same thing herself
My husband is Yoruba, and was a Muslim when we met.”

THE WORD YORUBA MUSLIMS became prominent because of their influencial role in the federal government of Nigeria both positively and negatively.

From the governmental perspectives, Yoruba muslims ( quite a sizeable number of them ) have been subjugating SOUTHERN UNITY and solidarity in favour of their friends in the core north with whom they share religious connection and that has been setting Nigeria "s drive towards a restructured state quite very frustrating.

BECAUSE OF RELIGION, yoruba muslims are betraying their fellow southerner to the northerners.

The northerners have rewarded these group of yoruba muslims with positions in the federal government, federal parastatals, the security agencies etc.

INFACT, NO GOVERNMENT COMES INTO PLAY IN NIGERIA WITHOUT A SIGNIFICANT YORUBA MUSLIMS INSIDE THE GOVERNMENT.

IT CAN BE REASON THAT ONE OF THE CRITERIA FOR GETTING A HIGH LEVEL POLITICAL POSITIONS OR NON POLITICAL POSITIONS FROM A NORTHERNER IS THAT YOU MUST BE A YORUBA MUSLIMS.

Even federal government contracts that is managed by a northern political leaders also silently put that clause as one the major criteria for giving jobs to a contractor.

In conclusion, yoruba muslims particularly from the SOUTH WEST have not yet shaken off their SLAVERY MENTALITY towards the core north.

WHEN THE SOUTH WANT TO SPEAK WITH ONE VOICE, the yoruba muslims comes in with their factor to water down the whole process.

It is also on record that it was the Yoruba muslims of the South West that connived with the core north to bring down the government of President Jonathan.

Why do Yoruba men see igbo women as a trophy. undecided
In Yoruba land, hitting an igbo woman is the ultimate test of manhood, you are proclaimed a king in Yoruba land once you are able to Nack an igbo lady.
Look at how Yoruba people despise FFK.
But still can't resist the urge to worship him occasionally and lick his balls just because of his alleged affair with Bianca.
Look at how this one has already orgasmed just thinking about a yoruba nacking an igbo lady.
I need someone to explain to me this kind of obsession.
Who do una this thing.

“On the marriage front, she explores challenges women face and how she refused to shrink herself to accommodate her husband’s insecurities about her fame, ” it said.

They is nothing like Yoruba Muslims we are all Yoruba first . Flat heads created Yoruba Muslims nickname to divide us but it won't work.

But don't you think what Muric oga is doing will polarise the Yoruba nation the more?

Because he's not fighting for Yoruba rights but Yoruba Muslims right in particular and Nigerian Muslims in general.

What do you think?

It is only the ibo boys on nairaland that are living either in ignorance, delusion or both. Outside the SE, countless ibo girls get hooked up with whoever they wanted regardless. Visit the north and see igbo girls in hijab married to Alhajis.
