tbaba1234: I expected you to know better. Having a driving licence doesn't make you a good driver. Having a coaching badge doesn't make you a good coach. It's a very basic certification. Yobo is an accomplished that has played at the highest level and has an experiential knowledge base that exceeds ANY COACHING BADGE. Have some respect. 5 Likes |

komekn: Yet, you are fined or arrested for failure to have that drivers certification. People spend years to obtain certification so as to become coaches. Yet, you appoint someone with no basic training?? A good experienced player does not make a good coach, either. Those are two different spheres. Disrespect?? Do you employ people with no qualifications or experience to your jobs?? There are Nigerians who are experienced professionals, but who have also spent years, sweat and money to become certified coaches. You do not receive that knowledge because you played the game. 12 Likes |

tbaba1234: Maradona was a good player but a bad coach. Coaching and playing are two different things. Some level of certification is needed. Besides a rookie like Yobo should not handle the Super Eagles. He can start with the junior team or a local club side. 1 Like |

So now they aren't technical anymore abi? How funny. I didn't see you bring out this extract when Komekn always ran around the whole thread dropping epistles about how "HIGHLY TECHNICAL" Tammy Abraham is. So what changed?? All bcoz I have exposed the rubbish assertions as false? And shown Nacho is even more technical than they are? You guys really should make up your minds. And you only jumping in bcoz of your player Tammy. Now the term "tactical" is being used to describe them to shift the argument but then I have a simple question. Why not just refer to Nacho too as a very good tactical player based on those stats? Why is the tactical term now brought up, only for the others, just b'cos Nacho has been shown to be more technically proficient than Harry Kane, Tammy, Vardy and even Giroud? Anyway, you are a Chelsea fan. Nothing to be surprised about really. Lol. forgiveness: 2 Likes 1 Share |

You lost the bet Forgiveness. You lost it big time. You and Elyte simply lost it on Ujah and Nacho. Iheanacho performed very well in the EPL in 2019/2020 as a backup striker. He was beyond decent. In all competitions, his stats were very good too. And Ujah failed to shine in the Bundesliga just as I told you he will. Both were not average. Infact, None were average. Ujah was below average while Nacho was well above average and had a solid season for a backup striker. And who is Kayode in this context?? Scoring in Turkey?? What's that please? What is Turkey compared to the the EPL? You really are desperate with the way you keep promoting your favorite lads who are still wallowing in the depths of mediocrity. Kayode just returned to Turkey with Sivasspor while lads like Arokodare and Moffi head to better leagues. You are funny. And Maja scoring in Ligue 1 is commendable but I recall not so long ago, you were berating the credibility of scoring in Ligue 1. Were you not the one yapping nonsense about Tammy performing in the EPL even insinuating he is better than those doing it in Ligue 1 and insisting Mbappe is yet to perform beyond Ligue 1. Didn't you say Mbappe is yet to show himself in a stronger league? You even stopped short of insinuating that Tammy is better bcoz you know you will be lynched by everyone (everyone except Chelsea fans ofcos) . Well, Nacho performed in the EPL in 2019/20 for a backup striker not so? Well, then...case closed. In all, You simply lost the bet on Iheanacho vs Ujah. I said Nacho will have a solid campaign in 2019/2020 and he did. I also said Ujah will not shine in Germany b'cos he is absolutely bang average and would not just improve overnight and Ujah proved me right. He was simply disappointing in Germany. forgiveness: 3 Likes 2 Shares |

forgiveness:What exactly do you guys mean by "technical" If we're talking about "touch"(or ball control) - Giroud is the best on there(Yes Giroud's touch is crazy" If we're talking about hold up/link up play - Harry Kane is the best on there. If we're talking about being skillful - none of them are particularly that skillful but Kane pulls off skill moves when he wants to. If we're talking about vision - while Nacho might have a better final pass - Kane is all better all-round imo(anyone that wants to argue this should watch this when they have the time https://streamable.com/amp_player/xyz4m?__twitter_impression=true....I hate the guy but it is what it is) If we're talking about flair/elegance(i.e looking pleasing to the eye) - hmmm i don't rate any of them on that sha ...guess you could say Nacho takes this one. If you're talking about shooting technique - its between Kane and Nacho. So its really not straight forward. None of these are really WC technicians. One thing is for certain though - Nacho's all round game is average at best. I've been saying it and will stick to it. I didn't watch the guy during his U17 days. I'm basing it what I've seen from his displays at senior level. His greatest qualities are his clinical finishing and being able to slip that final ball once in a while. His dribbling is average. His hold up play is average. His touch is average. All this is obvious to anyone who watches him extensively and doesn't let nostalgia of his U17 performances blind them. 1 Like |

Any professional player is "technical" ..passing,shooting,tackling etc is a technique So automatically all players are technical, but varies due to their strength in such technique.. Awever, not all players are tactical... Dis is one of d bane of "African players"... Most of dem are not tactical If u want to get d point of tactical..go and watch d Nigeria vs Germany game(semi final Olympics) And u will understand my point better....tactically,d Germans outwitted us..@ some point in d match... We had no rhythm, even sia1 couldn't knw what else to do.. |

ABOUT THE SUPEREAGLES 1. The best attacking midfielders we have do not play in the top 5 leagues in Europe 2. We can use players not based in Europe to win things. 3. Algeria (one of the best teams in Africa) uses players based in Saudi Arabia. Baghdad Bounedajh their top striker plays in Quatar and Algeria is better than us right now. 4. If we have problems getting attacking midfielders we can try Kingsley Sokari and Obinna Nwobodo. Getting to a top 5 or 10 team in Europe takes time for players from Africa. In fact, Obinna Nwobodo just moved to Turkey from Hungary. 5. The point is identyifyng a good player and using him. With the passage of time, the player will move to a good club 6. We are not an European country and 100% of our players do not have to be playing in Europe at the same time 7. The over reliance on European based players is funny and whimsical. 8. Players move and change and so we just make use of the best. 9. MOhammed Aboutrika never played in Europe but that does not mean he was not better than one average player in southampton or Torino Thanks Thats my opinion 8 Likes 4 Shares |

Philosopher1979:1. Iwobi plays in the epl. Out of form at the moment but he's definitely one of our best AMs whether we like it or not. 2. Our league is not strong enough to do that. 90 percent of our top players play in Europe 3. Bulk of their team play in Europe. That in addition to having a strong league makes them able to get away with that. 4. Sokari and Nwobodo are not better than the options we have. 5. Again, majority of our talents move to Europe as soon as they can. We all know this. 6. Our best players are in Europe so it makes sense for a bulk of our team to be Euro based. 7. Its not. Our best players are in Europe and will remain so for the foreseeable future unless we fix our league or Europe somehow stops being the mecca of football. 8.True and our best players are mostly based in Europe. 9. The Egyptian league is probably the best in Africa and they could afford to retain talents like Aboutrika. You and I know its impossible to do that in the NPFL. 9 Likes 4 Shares |

Mendy is not world class but he is a very fine goalkeeper. Being number 1 at Rennes in France is no small feat. I watched some of his games last season and even the ones involving Victor's Lille against Rennes. jargooflife912: 1 Like 1 Share |

edi287: Nwobodo is a talented player. If he had gone to the U20 World cup his story would be different by now. His knee injury put off a bunch of clubs but yet here he is. If it were up to me his first call would have come when he was with Enugu Rangers but that is not how it works. Now, if he performs like I know he will in Turkey that would be a different issue. Sokari is a good player also, I remember getting made fun of cuz I called him pure gold. This goes to the point our brother the philosopher made. This guy has been putting league winning performances for years now but yet no move to greener pastures. The same happened to Nwobodo wasting away for years in Hungary. Iwobi won't even get a run in the position we are talking about. There is nobody allowed to play that position at a high level. Mikel turned into a dmf. Nacho into striker. So at the end the players who actually professionally play these positions are at lower levels (not exactly NPFL btw). It is actually a good idea which nobody is going to go for because we all want our name brand players 2 Likes |

jargooflife912: Go back and re-read the post, this time, pay attention to the word "or". I didn't take notice of Mendy just recently, I have always loved him right from his Reims days, I was mad Aliu Cisse decided to use Kardim Ndiaye of Horoya at the world cup, neglecting him and Gomis(then of SPAL). I have always known him to be a top talent, I remember when WestHam went all out for him, but failed to secure his signature. You prolly didnt know him until Chelsea showed up 1 Like 1 Share |
