BascoVanVeli:Sokari is nothing special. Watched him a few times and he isn't better than we have. Haven't watched Nwobodo that much(i know Goldfish80 is a massive fan of his) but the time i did he played out wide. He's good but he wouldn't make our first 11. What other playmaker do we have at a lower level that would make our first 11?? Nacho was(is) simply not fit to play as an AM at a high level. Iwobi while he didn't play as an AM many times still functioned as a wide playmaker at Arsenal especially when Wenger was still around. 4-3-3 is the way to go now anyway so the traditional number 10 is almost becoming obsolete. Even in a 4-2-3-1, the number 10 mostly is a CM who has to be able to drop back to form a 3. Based on this, how many NPFL/non European league midfielders do we have that would start over Iwobi, Aribo, Etebo, Ejaria and Azeez?? 3 Likes |

Nacho was above average. Bagged double digits in all competitions alongside 5 assists or so as a backup striker to Vardy. That is definitely above average. What's the crime in being truthful about how good Nacho was last season? Will it kill anyone in here? And Ujah was definitely below average. No arguments. So I was right in my predictions ahead of 2019/2020. Finito. andrewbaba44: 3 Likes 1 Share |

Mendy kept Senegal's first two games at the Afcon. But he suffered a hand injury and the coach switched to Alfred Gomis of Dijon. So this left Mendy out of the side until the final where he returned to the bench. BascoVanVeli: 2 Likes 1 Share |

Yes. And your opinion doesn't alter the fact Nacho had an above average season indeed. A season that got Rohr's attention and earned him a deserved recall to the NT. Nacho with 10 goals and 4-5 assists in all comps last season as a backup striker, and with less gametime compared to lead striker Vardy, was truly above average in the 19/20 season and nothing can alter that fact. andrewbaba44: 3 Likes 1 Share |

It was mentioned. He was isolated alongside one or two others after the mandatory Covid tests preceding their last game. So he is still out and recovering. He is not injured. Also, I have mentioned this already for over a week now yet as always some of you are late to the party. andrewbaba44: 1 Like |

Okay fine. I get you but "above average" has stratas. "Well above average" is different from "above average" or "slightly above average". For a backup striker bagging double digits in all comps, Nacho was definitely above average no matter how you wanna look at it. If in your admission, he was good last season then how can his season still be tagged average? Don't you know good is better than average? Lol andrewbaba44: 2 Likes |

TheSuperNerd: Smiles ,I was so happy for nacho last season because he still managed to score despite the little game time I will still call it average at least not below average which can be tagged as someone who have a bad season like ujah and some few others Maybe if nacho had scored like 15 goals then I will go with the above average He scored 10 goals in all competition na ? If na 5 goals he score dem go call am below average that’s why I can’t see 10 goals more than being average |

Mehn but CIV do us strong thing shaa. They actually pulled out of the game against us to take on Belgium. To be honest, Belgium is stronger than we are. But the funny thing too is we are playing Algeria who are also an upgrade on CIV. And I understand there is more money on offer for CIV in playing Belgium. This is just like Chriskels. Always thinking of the money first. No wonder he is Ivorian now by citizenship and married to an Ivorian babe and with several Senegalese and Malian concubines. Calm down... 10 goals may be a bit too much. He is gonna be backup striker for a start but time will tell if he takes his gametime chances better. Tolu is a talented young lad. Wishing him the best and I hope too that his deal with Koln becomes permanent after this season. andrewbaba44: 1 Like |

edi287: What do we have? Players who don't play at that position for their club thats what. Iheanacho wasn't given the chance. They converted him from day one. U are trying to drag the NPFL into this discussion when nobody as mentioned an NPFL player yet. The fact is we have no true AMF on the team because if we did they would play there for their club even if it was once in a while |

It wowed Rohr. It earned him a NT recall. Nacho was outstanding for Leicester even after the Covid break. So how was his "good season" an average one?? I don't care that you agree with anyone but it doesn't alter the fact that Nacho had an above average season in 2019/2020. You guys are only trying to be conservative with the truth b'cos of the backlash Nacho has gotten in here for the past two seasons before 2019/2020 thus don't wanna appear as one of those who are "hyping". The truth is the truth. Nacho was above average last season. Full Stop! chrisooblog: 2 Likes 1 Share |

I hope for double digits too but realistically, let us hope he gets enough game time too. I just want the lad to impress enough to earn a permanent deal. I want to believe he will get chances to show what he can do as he boasts a different style and profile to the other Koln strikers. He is the tallest and most gigantic among them so that could see the coach utilise him as a target man weapon when brought on. Time will tell. andrewbaba44: 1 Like |
