Well deserved..Congrats to the Lakers. Murray and the Nuggets need a rim protector and a good perimeter scorer not named Murray/ Jokic...

AD and LeBum are a difficult match up for any team.

Vogel has been immense for this team with his defensive coaching.

Boss man, I hope una fit win the east o. Make Heats run and form no go end against Bron and AD. Wetin you think?

Come on Ersan. I was only being hopeful. Even at 0 - 0, I would never bet on the Nuggets and against Bron. I am not a fan of Bron but I know what that man is capable of. 17th year fa

You've always been one of the classier Bron haters. Too bad you're a Celtics fan. SMH

People keep saying LHW is weak but it was only weak because Jones was far better than everyone else. Now things are interesting. The gap isn't as big anymore. Used to be the most exciting division before Jones and I expect it to go back to being that now.

Now for Izzy Costa. I like both guys but I'm leaning towards Izzy for obvious reasons. Just don't make this a repeat of the Yoel fight and I'll live with whoever wins.
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 5:40am On Sep 27, 2020
Man, Izzy is putting together an All time great resume. So methodical, so technical. Legend in the making.

I'm telling you. Look how big and scary Costa was looking. But it didn't faze Izzy one bit. Man, Izzy is legit.

Man has over a hundred kickboxing bouts, some at HW. He's seen it all. Physique won't intimidate him.

He isn't. Really proud of Him of the Lad. To think We attended the same Primary School in Naij and look where He is now, it's literally insane.

As stifling as this Lakers defense has been, they're missing their best perimeter defender. Scary.

Unless he took that decision on a whim, if it was well thought out and he chose to stay with a sick and vulnerable child in the middle of a pandemic, he should have nothing to feel foolish about. People's values and priorities differ.

We are all different.

In normal times, if Lakers were playing on the road 2 weeks, what will he do? I can see leaving the bubble for a week or two for family reasons. But to say you wont play at all? It is still a job.

People weren't convinced NBA could hold a covid free season in the bubble, and that is probably his reason for saying no. I know Dwight feels mighty good for showing up in spite of his initial reluctance

BascoVanVeli:

Patrick Ewing, Sam Cassell, Jason Kidd, Kevin Ollie, etc. I can go on with names of black coaches who have never been given an opportunity.
You don't know what you're talking about. The same Kidd that got to coach the Nets and Bucks?

Avery Johnson didn't get opportunities? Byron Scott? Monty Williams? Alvin Gentry? Abeg stop talking nonsense

BascoVanVeli:

Why is it nonsense to believe in yourself? I believe black coaches can do the job just like I believed black quarterbacks could do the same as their white counterparts. The same token excuses were made when we all know that the we have not seen nearly enough black people in the position to make a judgement. And the worst thing is when people like u undermine the cause with flimsy excuses gotten from white people. If we all don't see there is a problem nothing will ever get solved
I will not join you to endorse the nepotism you're advocating for. If you as a black man cannot call out an underperforming black coach then what moral right do you have to criticize same in a white coach

Don't bring black quarterbacks into the equation. Your beliefs count for zilch if they were not performing. Black quarterbacks are not a new phenomena, there's been a black QB MVP FFS, we just now have the best crop of black QBs in history and the cream always rises to the top. Same way it should be for coaches.

Not that you will come here and be defending a man who has not taken a team to the conference finals in 7 years. That is arrant nonsense

Corona? With the number of Nigerians running things in MMA just makes you wonder how many more Adesanya's are roaming round the streets of Lagos.

Heat need to beg Crowder to stop shooting at this point. He's shot the Celtics back into the game
