Iwobi not making first team under Emery is not a criterion to judge him at all, keywords here “under Emery”.
Emery’s first team where players like Willock, Nelson, Guendouzi were starters while the likes of Laca, Ceb, Ozil, were bench warmers?

in 2017/2018, he made 22 starts,
Out of 36 match day squad selections.

In 2016/2017, he made 18 starts, out of 35 match day squad selections.

In 2015/2016(his breakthrough season, which he started 2nd half of the season), he made 8 starts, out of 21 match day squad selections.

All these starts are just leagues o, excluding champions league or fa cups.

Match day squad selections means the number of times he's available to play.

Now tell me, does that look like someone who wasn't a starter during his arsenal days tongue tongue

lol... Na even under Emery him enjoy sef. Seems most guys have forgotten how iwobi is for us. I'm still saying it, what iwobi lacked was scoring, aside that, Iwobi was good at ball retention, giving quality passes and dribbling. Not world class tho, but he was the best in creativity aside ozil.
His assist stat might not tell the full story, but the iwobi wey I watch was our best creative player aside ozil

Bro iwobi is no starter
Of course he will start some matches when we have injury crises.
He's just like saka in the team, they are not first choice but can start when the first choice are not available

No mind Arsenal fans with short memory. Why do you guys think Everton drop £35million pounds straight up without even think twice.

Infact , his performance started dropping when he got to Everton, and not before

U are not getting it. Ìwobi regressed , he couldn’t hold down a starting shirt . He never transformed from the potential we saw in his breakout season till he was condemn to the bench and sold. He’s still unable to start for Everton as well.

I absolutely don’t see how his sale was wrong

Lol... How is 22 starts out of 35 available selection not a starter?
At least, saka own is understandable, because he fill in at left back.
But if iwobi, starting on the wing, 22 times is you saying is because of injury crises, then don't you think it was because he deserved his spot due to some impressive performances while the person was away.

To start 22 times and 18 times for a top team as A WINGER, no be beans.

lol.. I know he was somehow inconsistent in his latter days, but mehn, boy was our creative man then,
It's good thing we sold him, but then it's not good we've a short memory of what he offered us.

I know then,(a season after his breakthrough season) I was really happy seeing iwobi starting, and I always pray he starts cos he was good creatively, and he was hardly dispossessed.

Yes Nigeria do have indeed

FANS

Arsenal Supporters ClubNigeria

Arsenal Supporters Club Nigeria was set up in 2004 by four staunch Gunners fans and received its official recognition from Arsenal in 2005 and since then has grown to include branches from different states and regions within the country such as Arsenal Port Harcourt, Arsenal Jos, Arsenal Abuja, Arsenal Ado Ekiti, Arsenal Uyo etc .

The club is run via branches / zonal arrangements and does not have a particular location as a meeting point considering its growth and further penetrations of more states within the federation.

so you saying this

. Are you for Aouar or you're having a little doubt about him?. Esp with the bolded from the first quote.
Im not convinced. The fact that we having midfield hunger is kinda making him overhyped to me. The +ve outta all of this is that for Arteta to want him, then he fits the philosophy. If Iwobi was around, survived Emery and happened to be at Emirates with Arteta at the helm, we all, nobody on here can say crap. Rather we'll be singing high praises at how Mikel has madr Iwobi a better player, and insult Emery further.

Maybe we judge Iwobi by goals that's why he seem ordinary to us. We seem yo forget that even with Auba on the pitch, it got to a point that we had no chances created till Iwobi came on.

Well he's at Everton, and suddenly he looks so bad and many saying he was crap. Smh. That was fast.

He's declined since he got to Merseyside.

Aouar can come.

There's a reason I call him an Iwobi that shoots at goal. Till then, I'm indifferent, save faith in our Coachito.

I don't think his sale was wrong. £30m was too good to ignore. The mistake was we didn't replace him properly.

I though believe other points you made like him improving under Arteta.
His sale was wrong. Twas all bout the cash. Nothing more. A very stupid move till date. Everton can't even deploy him correctly. Now with Baba Carlo, lets pray baba get plan for him.

Guy dead this starter stance abeg. Asif Arsenal was a competitive squad in the first place. If our squad was like Man City and Iwobi wasn't seeing game time, this your starter stance would be valid. Besides Emery was benching him for small kids. I watched almost all matches and even commentators did one consistent thing aka mention Iwobi on the bench and acknowledge the fact that he's the 2nd most creative player in the squad.

One problem i had, and we all had was that inability to shootand score. Only that. He and Kolasinac had fluid understanding that Tank began to be so hyped. Ashey na Iwobi dey help hin ministry. Since he left, he's been bang average.

leave them. Everton scouting for creative players in EPl and booom Iwobi was first choice, and at 40m. When Everton arent stupid.

I recall days of Iwobi being blamed severally for loses, which some were his fault, but under Emery, na den people hyping Mustafi eye clear.

It's barely 3 yrs and many cant remember sef? I dont blame anyone that forget those days. It was heart wrenching!!!

I think that's what we truly need sef

Ceballos is more or less a mere squad player in Madrid... Even the Aouar we are chasing, It is a gamble. Don't talk as if we have some world class midfielders in our squad.

Ceballos that was European U-21 best player. E get reason why Zidane gree sell am......shey na that one u dey use compare Alex "potential" Iwobi? Whether u agree or not the fact is ; Iwobi had his chances. His time is past.

We have moved from those kind of players to getting players that fit into project Arteta like Aouar. Anybody that still wants to watch Iwobi should go and pray He at least makes Everton's Carabao cup team so they can see him do his thing

Gbam!! louder abeg .
What made me brought up the Iwobi is because of this same Aouar transfer. To be frank,I don't see him as an upgrade to Iwobi which made me wonder why selling Iwobi when we will be paying €50M just to replace him 2 years later.
