Marriage is a serious business and that is why some people fail in their marriages while others have successful marriages. The fear of having a failed marriage is one of the reasons some people are scared of going into it.

Men of God also fall in the category of people who have had failed marriages, and Legit.ng has compiled a list of three clerics whose marriages did not work out.

1. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

The founder of Loveworld Ministry popularly known as Christ Embassy had a failed in 2016 after being married to Anita Ethodagbe for 25 years.

Anita filed for the divorce and cited adultery and unreasonable behaviour of her husband as the explanation for her decision.

2. Joshua Iginla

Joshua Iginla of the Champions Royal Assembly divorced his wife in 2019 and cited infidelity as his reason.The cleric also confessed to cheating on his wife, saying that she started it first.

Marriage is a serious business and that is why some people fail in their marriages while others have successful marriages. The fear of having a failed marriage is one of the reasons some people are scared of going into it.

3. Chris Okotie

The founder of the Household of God Church International Ministries. His first marriage to Tyna crashed and Okotie married Stephanie Henshaw.

His marriage to Stephanie was in 2008. The couple had a glamorous wedding and Okotie described his second wife as the most beautiful woman on earth.However, in 2012, the marriage ended due to what the cleric described as irreconcilable differences.

Obviously, love and prayers doesn’t keep marriage, forget what Righteousness89 is going to tell you.

IMO, marriage should be contractual. The couple can decide to elongate the marriage at the expiration of each contract. They can decide to quit if they are not compatible during the existing contract.

Life is too short to be doing “for better for worse” over something that’s draining you.

Pastor Chris marriage was never about adultery, and no where did Anita mention adultery as her reason for divorce. She only said 'unreasonable behaviour' and not adultery.

I always wonder what happens to this scriptures whenever divorce sets in.Does it means the God Lord does not really favour some marriages? Biblical scholars please more insight.

If only people will read this and learn from it. A lot of people will tell you they are waiting for there pastor to give them go ahead before they marry.
The truth is a lot of these married couples with challenges saw all this red flags but were blinded by the so called LOVE and bro/ sis code.
Most gals you see in church doing all those sis stuff are retired olosho and most guys u see worshiping pastors have no source of income.
The earlier people start being responsible for there decisions, the best for us
