Even pastors divorce or separate from their spouses. We are all human, flesh and blood after all. However, I believe couples ought to have learnt or practiced conflict management and resolution during courtship so that it wouldn't get to this.

IMO, marriage should be contractual. The couple can decide to elongate the marriage at the expiration of each contract. They can decide to quit if they are not compatible during the existing contract.

I'm 100% in support of that proposition. Marriage should be contracted like football to avoid these sort of stories

Man is free born creature with a soul that decides what it wants. God cannot force any man to be anything he doesn't desire. His abilities stop at conviction when it comes to His Kingdom. What any man makes of his marriage is what will happen, just as what you make of your ways and your life will determine your outcome.

God instituted marriage and any marriage outside is word is bound to fail. Gen 1:26. Forget whether you are a pastor or born again Christian, one these principles are not followed, there will be married and remarried.

. Mr.man or are you woman, Pst. Chris Oyakhilome's marriage did not crash because of adultery. The wife never accused him of adultery. It was media fools that were insinuating adultery. It was about issues relating to their disagreement on Church administration and power issues of which the woman felt she was not being treated the way she ought to as the Oga's wife. So she felt humiliated and took a walk.

Some people are still in an unhealthy marriage cos of these nonsense quotes.

Those quotes are not scriptural. They are not the words of God. The intent is clear however and is based on scriptural principles and fruits that describe perserverance, patience, fidelity, sacrifice, love and all the attributes a man should possess in any relationship, not just marriage, even our relationship with God to be a successful believer.

The Bible makes it clear. If you cannot love your fellow man, how can you claim to love God whom you cannot see. Our age is filled with folks who are essentially selfish, impatient, disloyal, hateful and haughty, traits that erode their capacity to handle relationships. Little wonder marriages are short lived.
