Greetings my people. Please do we have any update regarding New Visa or Visa Change for those that are in? My 3 months visit visa would expire on the 2nd of October and I have reach my agent and she told me there's no more extension for us (I understand there was one month extension before, but she said it has been stopped). I need your opinion on my best bet now please. I have an exam coming up here on the 1st week of December, else I'll have just return home. Thanking you guys in advance. |

America001: I think I can deduce what I want from this response. Its funny how it seems most people here see the figure as unbelievable. Oh well People earn figures close to the equivalent of that amount in Naira in Lagos and not even close to GM level lol |
Re: QATAR AND UAE GENERAL VISA ENQUIRIES Part 3 by nitrogen(m): 12:31am On Sep 30, 2020 |
sifo: Correct. I was earning about that amount monthly when I was in the UAE (Dubai). And I was working with a small firm. That was the offer I got straight from Lagos. It all depends on your qualifications, the sector/industry etc. 1 Like |

sifo:Unless the person is not a Nigeria passport holder, work permit would be a great issue. At least, for now. As per the salary, 30k a month is sexy it depends on the person’s profession/ position offered. Good luck. 1 Like |

sifo: Good luck dear brother. The reality here is that Nigerian passport holders are currently having a hard time getting work permit and residence visa. I can't seem to be an ill wisher so lemme not talk about the salary being offered. Anything is possible. Thread carefully man, I wish you well 1 Like |

Good day everyone Please I will like to join my husband in UAE anytime the ban on Nigerian visa is lifted but I need advice here from my fellow people I planned to go back to school when I get to UAE 1. Nursing and teaching, which of the two profession PAYS WELL in UAE 2. I studied zoology in Nigeria and I planned to go back to school when I get there, will you advise me to study nursing or go for teaching 3. Is there school of nursing in UAE and how long is the duration 4. What are the criteria to get a teaching job, will I have to go back to school and get a degree in education field? 6. If I have the opportunity of relocating to Canada/ USA will the teaching job earn me more money Thanks in anticipation |

sifo: I apologise on behalf of our people who erroneously assume that UAE is haven for unskilled labour only where salary range is peanut. Junior Engineers and Technicians in oil services companies as well as ADNOC earn from 25000AED gross monthly tax free. In company where I have first hand knowledge Nigerians and other Africans earn btw 3500AED and 5000AED per month as housing allowance. You don't need to be a manager to earn 35000AED. You skills, expertise and grace of God determine industry you find yourself in UAE. As a professional 35000AED isn't not so incredible. DD and field Engineers earn as much as 1000AED daily allowance in UAE and other gulf countries. Some Nigerians in Dubai and Abu Dhabi belong to this group . Back to your initial question, With 6000AeD, you can afford a decent accommodation in JLt or Tecom for a month. A combo suite in byblos hotel, first central hotel Tecom is within that range. You will comfortably live in Dubai like your fellow expats from other continents with 35000AED. Pardon your brothers. People contribute within their experience. May God help us all 10 Likes |
