fatima04:IHS should be scrapped for those in the UK applying for visa extension, this is like double taxation, people pay the IHS during visa and still when they get here and start working. 1 Like |

dustydee: Yes for now though, who knows whats going to happen next. Hopefully they realise its an extortion from Tier 2 immigrants |

justwise:I agree. We don’t even mind if they don’t scrap it for dependents. That’s still understandable because some dependents don’t work. It just seems fraudulent to be paying IHS and still continue paying NI. 1 Like |

fatima04:They know it’s an extortion but no one to question them on it. Unless there’s enough publicity on it, nothing will change. 1 Like |

LagosismyHome: HMRC doesn’t audit personal bank accounts but the bank can flag the account and start asking annoying questions, if the money is too much and if the money is from abroad (especially Nigeria) Just the other day, First Direct called Mrs and was asking me to explain all the moneys in my account from as far back as January for amounts as little as £1k transfers. They even asked about some money I sent to Nigeria using moneyFex. Told them I had a business and that’s how they let me off the hook. But they still sent me a self cert form to fill. It depends on the bank sha. |

Ok so try login with your Internet bank details and see if it allows you in. If you've forgotten it and it have your card pin, click on Sign up and navigate to the Existing Customer option, click on it to try retrieve your credentials online. justwise: |
Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by justwise(m): 3:56pm On Oct 04, 2020 |
bigtt76: Logging in to internet banking is not a problem at all, retrieving the pin or getting a token is the problem, i have tried using *737*7# still it doesn't work. The biggest prob i guess is the fact that my card has expired so i can't use it as part of verification process which is required. 1 Like |
