Ronaldo left United when he was hot. Very hot. He wanted to leave the previous season but SAF begged him to stay one more season. It’s not as if he had a huge problem with the manager, teammates or fans. He was very loved.

Leaving at the moment he did means he didn’t really have the club at heart like others we term legends. Those players gave their all for United and left when the club doesn’t really need them any more.

Had Ronaldo stayed 3-5 more years, his achievements for United would be much more, his commitment and loyalty will be unquestionable and the fan love will be through the roof.
