About 2 days ago I read an Uber guy's story who escaped from ritualists who took over his vehicle and wanted to harvest his organs.....He was fortunate to have escaped and called the attention of area boys who saved him but robbed him, but the sad part of the whole story was the SARS guys who still wanted to make money from him before investigating his matter.......

I listened to a radio program on Nigerian Info during this past week and a banker narrated his ordeal in the hands of these daredevil SARS officers.

He was on his way from work, dropped a colleague at his estate around that lekki area and was on his way home when the SARS guys waylaid him. They demanded to search his vehicle and turned his documents upside down trying to look for just one thing or the other to link him to a criminal activity.

This a man in his early 40's who felt he should be immune to SARS/police harassment. He said he was rattled to the point that he lost all sense of dignity. He even insisted on calling his friend he just dropped at his estate to come bear him witness but the SARS officials refused. They cared less about his work ID and were busy looking for something to pin down on him.

He was lucky to be let go after several hours of dehumanization. He said he couldn't inform his wife about the whole incident until after few days later because of how low he felt.

My question is why will any sane person want these guys to continue business as usual?

All things being equal, he should be good to go for Southampton.

There are other units of the police. SARS is not the only unit of police and new ones can be set up with saner, well behaved people

Those SARS guys are just so unruly. There's no amount of reform that will set them straight.

Not quite long in Ibadan one of them was involved in an altercation with another private car driver while in traffic at Ibadan and in the heat of the whole argument he went into his car and drew a pistol on him. If not for the wife of the man who made a video and was very vocal, he would have shot the man at close range and moved on. The wife kept on saying in yoruba " o fẹ́ yìbọn fún nítorí kini?
