My MD asked us to work from home today after we all agreed that the protest is what Nigeria needs at this time. This one come dey talk say ehn they should protatest and not block road....blah...blah black sheep

1.A caller called in on Nigeria info 99.3fm yesterday and narrated how he encountered FSARS officers at Benin on Wednesday which is just 2 days ago. He said he engaged them and told them : " I thought you guys have been disbanded"

They laughed at him and told him point blank : " Disband wetin?.....you people are just wasting your time, when Una protest tire una go rest. Even if dem disband us, no be this police we go still dey?.....we go still carry this gun. "

2. Same Wednesday there were reports of the same "disbanded SARS" extorting a man in Rivers state.

3. Yesterday night there were videos of SARS officers going to people's home in Yaba, Surulere and other parts of Lagos mainland going to abduct them.

If you are aware of all this and you still think the protests are unnecessary, then maybe you are indeed a government man A40 called you

As far as Lagos is concerned, there's no need to continue the protest. Sanwolu has agreed to most demands and things are in motion for others. This was as at last night. If the protest continues today and into the weekend, the protesters may be biting more than they can chew.

These are shocking revelations and I seriously hope they are not true because this means that some unit of the police force might have gone rogue for a long time that checkmating their excesses will not be a day's job.

I'm beginning to agree that this agitation deserves every support they can get. Even at that, we should all thread with caution as there are many hawks on the sidelines waiting for the perfect moment to hijack this noble cause for the destabilisation of the country. (If that is not even happening already)

The Government have atleast shown that they are ready to heed and engage the demonstrators - an independent committee was set up and a dialogue platform was announced days ago. I will expect that these agitators aggressively engage the government through these methods. Also, these various encounters of people with SARS officers after they have been disbanded (the stories you just shared) can be addressed.

Call me a Government agent or not, The continued demonstrations on various highways and major roads is not the way to go. Ease of Transportation is one of the major lubricant of a vibrant economy. Not to talk about the fact that there can be cases of emergency hospital care, fire emergency etc.
