PLAN Type 075 LHD

Would we ever see an LHD in Nigerian navy service?

Obviously not possible except our economy grows to a minimum 2 trillion dollars in value & defence budget goes to 47 billion dollars, but it would be nice to see ships like this in our navy, locally built of course.

isn't this similar with the Algeria Navy own..
that can carry just helicopters..

its a hudge 37000 tons , 237 m LHD , it can take 30 helicopters , even bigger than the egyptian mistral LHD ( 21.500 tons, 199m , 16 helicopters ) , algerian kelaat beni abbes is small only 143m, 9000 tons , 5 helicopters

Yes, similar, but the Type 075 is 97 meters longer than the Algerian navy ship.

The Type 075 and Egypt's mistral LHD are in the same class. Even the Mistral carries far less equipment than the Type 075.

from your own document . its classified as a frigate wink

.you see only what you want to see . the only extra weapon module that old aradu have is the depth charge module , not used in now days ships . you can look also at the others modules electronics , decoy launchers , systems numbers ...

and the number 360 was in first a reference to the displacement first design 3600 tons . ( in green from your own source) . original meko 360 design was 3600 tons displacement. many constructors put the displacement in the name of the ship specially that it was a new product , first meko built, they changed the names system after for the newest series to A200 , A 100 ect...

so lets stop here . you shared your arguments , jln put his arguments , readers will make their own opinion . no need to write 10 page about this sterile subject .

I did not talk about the frigate and destroyer classifiation. I only came in when your friend started comparing both ship's capabilities.

And the Electronics module is different from electronic weapons or decoys. The Aradu has the chaff dispensers and decoys of that era, still capable even today.

And finally, the Valour class has 4 not 5 weapon module. The Aradu has 6. That 2 difference is a huge gap in capabilities.

I rest my case.

In theory, it can carry fixed wing aircrafts, so yes it is an aircraft carrier.

It doesn't have to be there. There are over 100 MEKOs in service worldwide, and all cannot be there. But the list provides the standard MEKOs and the broadest range of modified MEKO 200. That is the Manufacturer's document.

Those MEKOs 200 are even more capable than your ship, especially the Turkish Meko 200.

Next time, respect people who know more than you. I lost 5 hrs of sleep just to get that and now, I am late for work. Stop your brainless arguments, okay. It is very diabolic. Bye LOSER.
And I'm ignorant boys wink

i swear the beginning of argument made me understand something's and now am just confused as fvck..
does a ship having four torpedoes tubes mean it just have torpedoes or it's just a useless statement..
no it doesn't, Chikl1 already showed a picture of the MEKO200AN with much more than 4 torpedoes..... Please don't listen to FieldMarshall06, the dude is delusional...

The way to understand how powerful a Country really is look at how much they spend ( money , time and personnel ) on maintenance. not the shiny new equipment.

I can't fathom how they are able to effectively maintain in terms of cost and sustainability such a vast array of equipment from so many suppliers and countries
