No Governor can control Police. Nwafor and SARS were not under Obi's control so whatever they did has nothing to do with Obi.


Its like saying that all the Governors should be held accountable for all the SARS killings in Nigeria when SARS is under Federal government control and not state control

Honestly, i feel sorry for Peter Obi, he's a good man but i always believed that the way he handled SARS and MASSOB issues would come back to haunt him. Those MASSOB guys were innocently trying to fend off the Chris Uba led NATO agberos holding the state to ransom. Peter Obi made a few innocent but costly mistakes as the Anambra state governor. He's still my role model but he should face the consequences of his actions.

You have a point, but for Obiano to appoint him as SSA on security even with all litanies of petitions against CSP James Nwafor from Amnesty International and Civil society organizations, he endorsed his murderous butcherings.

There's not necessarily anything he could have done about Nwafor and Awkuzu SARS, because as governor he would have believed that they were simply using their unconventional methods to deal with the equally vicious and demon-possessed armed robbers and kidnappers disturbing Anambra at that time.

My only concern is that in the specific case of the owner of Upper Class Hotel, after discovering that the man was innocent and unjustly persecuted, and his hotel...
