Okay.....life as an African/Nigerian.
The mistake so many of Us Nigerians make when leaving Nigeria is that we are always too lazy to make proper research about our destination. We always rely on what we are told by our few friends who has been there or who are there. In a long run when you get there you realize not all the things they tell u are the way they are, they only told u that based on the way they feel things are in their own perspective. So everything I will be writing here is how I see things from my own view and they might not be same for everybody.
Living here as an African you need to first understand that nobody likes you, everyone thinks you’re local and stupid from a poor village, so you’re left with 2 choices Deny where you’re from if you can, or be like me claim Africa with your full chest and use every opportunity to Educate people u come across. It’s not easy living here as an African, cos you’d have to deal with all kinds of subtle hates and racism, but you have to zero your mind to all this things and go after what you came for. You need to know there are clubs where Africans aren’t allowed in you need to know there are places people will stare at you so much you’d get seriously angry, and then you need to learn to live with all this if you really want to survive.
On the plus side as an African you have so much opportunities here, (Business wise), unlike Europeans and Americans who knows so much about copy things,
Africans do not care, and whatever you’re looking for this people can make, as long as you find someone reliable back home that can sell. You in for a big moment.
Same way there are bad/ stupid people, there are also very kind and Nice people, you just have to be patient and treat everyone with respect.
One last thing I’d like to point out is that, our brothers in the past have not really represented us properly and they’ve don’t so many stupid things in the eyes of this people which is why most of them do not respect and would hardly trust us, but believe me if you can gain the trust of a Chinese person, they don’t mind giving u whatever u want as long as it benefits them too.....
I have a lot more to write, please manage this for now

One of the lessons I have learnt this year, living in china is, to be honest it is more profitable to be friends with other African nationals than being friends with fellow Nigerians,m. Don’t get me wrong, there are very kind and responsible Nigerians here too, but the most you’d meet will be the bad ones, and if your really want to stay out of trouble then try as much as post to stay away from them, some of them have been here for more 12years with nothing to write home about, so they ultimately want same for anybody that becomes friends with them. And another thing is here I have hardly found people from other African countries overstay their visa, a trend which is very common among Nigerians, and being friends with these other Africans opened my eyes to the fact that there so many ways you can exploit to legalize your stay here even if you came with a single entry business visa. Some Nigerians know this but they wouldn’t tell you cos they overstayed and wants you to overstay too, this is one of the reasons why it is difficult for Nigerians to get visa to anywhere in the world. Another thing is there are easy avenues to make pocket money here in china which I can’t really write here, and I didn’t know of all this till I became friends with these people, the money might not come very big but trust me it will keep you afloat till the big one comes, so many of our brothers wants the money very big and fast as such they don’t want to do all this they just want something to bring the bing money very fast.. so many are in prison now and the ones who luckily escaped cannot come back here. There are easy money here and the can come fast too but the end might not be very sweet. Remember Chinese people don’t like you so if you ever find yourself on their wrong side, you’re a goner....

Hello, bruv.
I like how you're telling it as it is. You and I have something in common i.e staying away from mischievous Nigerian as much as possible. That, my friend, is one of the keys to surving in China. Good luck!

"Supposed to". But it's what it is. Better safe than sorry. I'd hate to be roped in for something I know absolutely nothing about. There are lots of hardworking, innovative and inspiring Nigerians here. Those are the types to have as friends or mentors. Personally, I try my best to keep away from people with questionable characters or source of wealth.

Hadampson:

If you are really serious about migrating to a developed country, language will never be a barrier.

It's an added advantage, I have said this time without number. Language usually open doors for people. A good example is ThePallidMan, a naira lander who learnt Hangul (korean language) all by himself in Nigeria before he successfully migrated to South Korea few years ago.

Don't see languages as barrier, rather see it as something that create opportunity.

Prost.
What people don't even understand is if they can speak a country's language in addition to english they would have more opportunities than the indigenous citizens of those countries.
