Maybe the fear of getting benched for Cavani will restore his senses. Still #MartialFC.

They are completely responsible.

A person should be ready to take responsibility for bad decisions made, which includes putting the wrong person in power. Nobody is perfect, but when poor judgement is made, a person should accept that he/she made a huge mistake.

It's one thing to make a decision that affects only the decision-maker, then another thing to make a decision that affects the whole populace.

If the electorate is not held responsible for the transgressions of the elected, then a free-will is given to make more poor decisions in the future. It becomes a never-ending cycle, because the electorate subconsciously knows that they will not be held responsible for their choices made, so critical thinking and analysis of the candidate can easily take a back seat.

They are not responsible.

You don’t jail people on the streets because they elected a corrupt leader. You hold the corrupt leader responsible for his actions and jail him.

Everybody is responsible for his or her own actions. The common man on the street might vote you in office but they didn’t force you to start embezzling money or jailing people without due process.

The electorate is the victim here. They are not responsible for the misbehavior of the politicians.

You can’t blame the victims when the politicians promise so much during campaign season only to renege on all their promises once in power.

I know many people who voted Buhari because they truly believed he was the best choice, and they did this after critical thinking as you put it.

Until people start having the gift of prophecy and seeing into the future critical thinking will not stop a politician from going rogue.

The problem is that there is a basic flaw with democracy which is that the general population is asked to make decision which is for the best of the country.
Unfortunately the general population is made up of people with varying intellectual capacity, meaning many people will make decisions based on their level of understanding. A fool’s vote counts the same as a genius’s vote in an election.

The fool will likely make a foolish decision, but you can’t blame him for being a fool.

CapitalCee, fire on...

When I opined that Dortmund will struggle to sell Sancho going forward, I wasn't on drugs...Sancho himself is greedy, push for a deal baba say no, he prolly thought United will pay up but Ed wasn't having none of it so I don’t buy the whole narrative that Sancho is unhappy...All he had to do was submit a transfer request but he was forming good boy...

When you talk about his performance for England, they'll tell you that Southgate is clueless but some of us have seen enough in football to know that a player shouldn't be rated after a very good season but at least after 2-3 seasons playing good football...We have seen Andrew Johnson, Darren Bent and a host of other one season wonders. Sancho have friends in Manchester United's team, the problem of integration wasn't going to hold sway for him, all he needed to do was push for a deal but he didn't...I bet he'll see our game against PSG and wished he made the move...At 200k per week wages, if nobody goes in hard for him next summer, Watzke will beg to terminate his contract because quite sincerely, Dortmund cannot afford such wages not when matches are played behind closed doors...
Sancho wasn't greedy per say, he was just being loyal to Dortmund..

The bolded is Nigeria's election in a nutshell, because the former is in majority.

Well, let's see how 2023 goes.

P.s Quite laughable that everyone is focused on 2023, when the world is still in 2020. Shows the level of incompetency at the top.

It is a fundamental flaw with democracy. In Book 6 of Plato’s Republic he details Socrates criticism of democracy.
Socrates felt allowing people to vote without a proper education was as irresponsible as for instance allowing people on a ship to vote to decide who would captain the ship.
