I also used original oil filter.

Car is currently at 4.5k miles after servicing. Should I service again cos it’s already been 8 months since the last service...

Heater core behind firewall
My mechanic even washed the radiator ystde but it seems is getting worse

Good evening fellas, I trust we are all safe whereever we are at the moment.
My car (2006 C280) refused to start today at the filling station this evening after toping up fuel. It has actually done similar thing some months ago when I had to leave it be while I went for the shoping I went to do ab initio. When I called a Kazim and explained to him the situation, he just asked me to use another battery! Behold, that was exactly what I did and it jumped back to life.
Please, what could have drained the battery or could it be that my alternator is failing or the battery is? What other issues could have caused what happened today? Thank you, I hope I get solutions as Saturday is only free day I have to fix it against future occurences.

Engr is advisable to bypass the heater core there by not getting heat inside car

If it is leaking , bypass it.

If they did, you are good to go.

Is the fan running direct or thermostat is still intact?

when I bought the car was wen d thermostat was removed because d temperature sensor switch broke so fan didn't come on but temperature was reading on dash, so I changed the switch and reinsert d thermostat back but fan is still direct
Note: wen switch broke fan was connected direct and no overheating

Candid opinion rqd tho bias is also welcome - IS KIA Rio or its Cerato Model 2006 - 2010 a good reliable car for all - purpose use? Are there any common problems associated with it? How about it's general maintenance? How does it compare to say VS cost of maintaining a Corolla?
