It is one thing to resist the police and another to resist the police with a knife. Charging after the police with a knife is a different kettle of fish entirely especially when the reasons the police officers were there is as a result of distress call from one of the parents.

In the heat of the moment, you don't blame people for self-preservation decisions. There is more instincts than emotions involved. If these guy was as sensible as he wants us to believe, he would not attack someone who has a gun with a knife. It just shows how tactless and senseless he is.

Sometimes,we are the cause of our problems. I've learnt never to argue with an armed person cause there's really a very thin line between life and death. It wouldn't have cost him anything to drop the knife, but the stubbornness of black Americans is on another level. Why do they always resist? You shoot someone be it on the leg or anyother part of the body avoiding vital organs is still lethal as that person will surely die if not provided medical assistance .

Being a cop in the US is probably one of the most dangerous professions given that the US is filled with guns. Every police stop is a potential lethal encounter for either the cop or whoever the cop pulled over.

Cops are trained first to defend themselves and their operating manual calls for use of deadly force when they are facing an aggresively dangerous and armed suspect.

You shoot to kill once the use of authorized force has been justified and in this case it has.

Shooting to incapicate may lead to future expensive law suits that will definitely bankrupt the cop , have him fired and turn him to a destitute.

You lose your house, pension , wife,friends, career and everything you have worked for .

If I was put in those cops shoes , I will shoot to kill

I have seen White cops giving burger and drinks to an arrested white gun man who killed. I don't think Amnesty International takes on human rights abuse in the USA; It's just one of those agencies that syphons money from American tax payers to pay for human right abuse cases in other countries.
