men what a nightmare of a match yesterday's game was but we move. my player ratings for the match against Sierra Leone. Maduka Okoye - 4.0 wasn't to blame for any of the goals conceded but such results will reflect on his performance good or bad. could have been more vocal with his defenders to wake them up from their slumber. Kelvin Akpoguma - 3.0 The more times i've seen him in the RB role the more i have not been impressed and yesterday was no different. was never comfortable in his role even when the SE were dominant. no surprises that 3 of the Sierra Leonians 4 goals came from his side of the pitch. should never play RB as long as Ebuehi, Aina and Awaziem are fit and available. Troost-Ekong - 3.0 Ekong's worst match in the GWG. looked lost defensively and shockingly failed to provide experience and leadership in defense especially when Balogun went off injured. really poor from the watford man Leon Balogun - 4.5 not his best showing but was the more steady than his defensive partner. was beaten too easily for the Leone stars first goal. only God knows what might have been if he had been able to complete the match. Zaidu Sanusi - 5.0 really energetic and bustling performance from the fc porto man. was a constant attacking outlet for the team down the left channel. assist for Osimhen's goal was eye catching. would have scored a higher rating if not for the part he played in the debacle of a goal the SE conceded towards the end. Etebo - 5.5 very energetic performance from the SE midfielder. struggled in an unfamiliar DM role hold play and ball retention was decent but tired out as the game wore on giving up midfield control to the visitors. Aribo - 3.5 very subdued performance from the glasgow rangers man. played a more withdrawn role in the midfield which he could barely come to grasp with. also struggle to impose his game on a poor Benin stadium turf. wasn't defensively at his best can do better. Samuel Chukwueze - 6.0 was dangerous in possession especially in the first 30 minutes of the match but performance dropped as the match progressed until he was subbed off. showed lovely individual brilliance for his goal. lost possession cheaply that led to the visitors' first goal. Alex Iwobi - 6.5 in an alternative universe the everton man would have been celebrating a man of the match performance after his two excellent strikes but sadly in this one he will be remembered for his ignoble role in the Sierra Leonians' equalizer. started the match like a house on fire but performance level dropped as the match worn on. Ahmed Musa[b] - 3.0 completely out of his depth and match rusty. didn't contribute anything of note offensively. surprised he lasted that long on the pitch before being rightly taken off. [b]Victor Osimhen - 7.5 just about the only one who can hold his head high for a very good performance. Troubled the visitor's defenders not giving them a moments peace. movement was excellent for his goal. once again for the second match in a row provided assists for iwobi and chukwueze. sad that he had to leave the pitch injured carrying the SE's only meaningful attacking threat. top all round performance get well soon champ! Substitutions Kelechi Iheanacho - 5.0 Huffed and puffed but the Leicester city couldn't really do much to threaten the visitors defense. Semi Ajayi - 3.5 was lost in defense part of a backline that inexcusably conceded 3 goals in 15 minutes. too poor. Paul Onuachu - 4.0 almost anonymous again barely threatened the Sierra Leone rear guard. uninspiring performance. Ejuke - 4.0 just there performance no sense of urgency didn't impact on the game. can do better. Technical crew Rohr - 3.5 only reason I 'm not scoring him zero is the initial excellent first 30 minutes of the match. questionable lineup choices Ahmed musa? Akpoguma at RB ![]() overall assessment of the match is that for some reason energy levels and concentration dropped after we scored the 4 goals. lack of on field leadership especially in defense was all too obvious. it's like currently without Osimhen the team will struggle for goals. after 5 years team still has more questions than answers really not good enough |

honestly e reach to complain. Aina for all his defensive struggles would have surely popped up in attack to help out. Akpoguma's selection in forgiveness voice looks too biased and sentimental. jihday: 1 Like |

1realBobby:There was nothing he could do? Really? No brilliant saves no commanding presence. He made no big save in that match. No individual brilliance. Just gives and inshallah. The truth is okoye is not yet ripe for the super eagles, he can be invited but he needs competition and tbh he looked relaxed because we know rohr likes keeping date with his starting XI. Okoye shouldn't have kept the Tunisia match, rohr didn't give others a chance Once uzoho recovers okoye shouldn't near the starting XI |

i will adjust Etebo's to 5.5 but i still stand by my rating for KC after Osimhen left he was the only one trying to make things happen at least i commend his effort. the only other guys who got higher ratings are the goal scorers and Sanusi who gave an assist. we all know that goals and assists boost player ratings other than actual performance do4luv14: |

if we're discussing whether he should be starting that's a different topic but regarding yesterdays match defenders just didn't try. make you be Allison, Nueur and Ter Stegen make your defenders play nonsense on the day you will collect. shayyverr: |

Rohr is tactically deficient. Why substitute balogun for Ajayi when akpo can come in and bring in natural rb like ebuehi or aina but yesterday's result was clearly thw players fault as a coachless team wont find it hard to protect a 4 goal lead 1 Like |

chrisooblog:when Barca conceeded 8 goals you know why stergen wasn't criticized? Because he has hia individual brilliance and he makes great saves. You know why kepa is always criticized? Because he has no individual brilliance, you see keepers like stergen win man of the match. The goals scored yesterday weren't mad goals that we would say keepers would hardly save that He could have saved at least one of those goals. He looks to heavy to dive. I miss uzoho's flair 1 Like |
