Hi mama, how high is the bed?
Was there blood stain/swelling on his head? Any abnormal behavior?
Pls take him to a pediatrician for proper evaluation.
This has happened to quite a number of babies and most times isn't harmful.
thanks for your response. There was no bleeding or swelling.

I think he's fine, just a slow speaker

All the best mama

amSteph:

Thank you.
1. Zero actual words for now. Tomorrow is day 7 of school. There’s little improvements already.
2. We stay alone, so that made him withdrawn from other adults. He used to like kids totally and would leave me to go play and have fun with them when we go out, but now, it seems like he just tolerates being in the midst of kids.
3. Moderately. Since he can’t say “wee-wee” I resort to timing him and take him to pee every 45min to 1hr.

Sabi Mamas in the house, una well done o!!
Congratulations to all the mamas that have birthed their Lo’s and easiest delivery to those yet to deliver, Amen!!

Please Mamas I want to ask, is it normal for babies eyes to lookin different directions sometimes? I notice my DD eyes some times does that. I read online that it’s normal, but I’ll appreciate feedbacks from experienced mothers.
She’s 2 months old by the way. Or could it be that she’s exposed to light too early? I’m just confused. Our next appointment is next week

Water, fruits rich in fiber, cucumber and pap with soybean. These works for me
To avoid buying soybean always, there’s this custard I use that’s has soybean in it. It’s so so good for breastfeeding mothers. It aids in quick flow of breast milk. I’ll snap it and share

I experienced it with my second child. Doc prescribed baby tribotan, used for 2weeks, no change. Prescribed hydrocortisone cream, still no change. I practically used these creams as body cream. Decided to go local with the red flower bath, and dropping some into the mouth, still nothing. I then removed my focus and it gradually disappeared. So I really don’t know if those things worked or it just ran it’s course and left on its own.

I believe it is. At this early age, she’s still getting a hang on things. Eye crossing is normal, and would sort itself out as she grows.

It is not normal. NL mothers will tell you it is normal. Sometimes they know more than their physicians Believe them now and regret later. See your doctor for advice. Many mothers here are giving bad advice. Eg: let's waite and see, na so ee do my pikin now it is alright. The more you waite the longer it takes to correct

What do u mean by bad advice? That’s a rather baseless accusation don’t u think? This group i believe is about moms supporting each other with their own experiences. I personally told her it would resolve cos I’ve had such experience which resolved at about 4-5months.

Don’t discredit every moms input just like that. Yes, there’s always the rare case that it’s something serious but 2month old is too early to doom the situation. She ought to observe it till at least 4months old. I’ve read comments like go to the hospital here a lot too. So please, state your opinion without tainting another’s.

Google is a double edged sword. It covers all bases. Type u have a headache and they’ll present u with all options ranging from it being “just a headache” or “beginnings of a brain tumor”. Chances its a tumor is slim right?.

SugaryBelle:

please what is nlacha

It’s a skin issue that starts out presenting like small round patches with a clear center. The patches begin to spread bigger and bigger. I experienced it with my 2nd child. I even posted on it (you’ll prolly see it if u flip the pages way backward). I visited hospitals, private and government. A grandma I saw at the government hospital told me it’s eela (eela is the Yoruba name and nlacha is the Igbo name) and to find the red flower. This happened at about 2month old. Cleared off before 5months. I still have the images on my phone. The thing almost made me go crazy, cos the harder I battled it, it just kept spreading.

First image is the manifestation on my 2nd born, then the red flower I hunted down, then the water of the red flower I used to bath baby for about a week.

Infantile Eczema. It's quite difficult to treat. The solution is to use hypoallergenic bath soap and to keep moisturising.

My son had terrible breakout that it was interfering with his sleep because of itching, we are over it now but I am still on the look out.

This was how I arrested the rash when all the medical creams didn't work:

1. Changed his soap to hypoallergenic bath soap. I bought Angel soap (the liquid wash). He uses the bar soap now.

2. His cream was a mixture of Original Shea butter (not jimpo ori, it's mixed with perfume and pko)
Original coconut oil
Original honey
A dash (little bit) of Apple Cider vinegar.
I melt everything together in a stainless bowl dipped in hot water,.stired it and poured the mixture in a container to cool and solidify.

Use the cream multiple times a day and don't towel dry baby after bath for now. Just apply the ori mixture on the wet skin. You should see improvement in 3 days.

I used Chlorxy-G Gel for my baby's cord from birth. It fell on the 10th day.
