Actually, any field that you don't improve yourself or try to adapt your skills to modern demands will make u redundant not just petroleum engineering alone.


The much of UAE's economy still largely depends on the sale of crude, although they're doing very fine in their diversification agenda. The oil industry will still be lucrative for many years to come, in as much as the world is aiming for other sources of cleaner energy.
I guess petroleum engineering may not be included because it may be reserved for their people, or else foreigners will just take over all aspects of their economy.

School na scam depends on the course O. Even some engineering courses nowadays are scam. Look at the thread and notice the courses. I bet someone with a petroleum engineering BSC MSC and PhD won't qualify for the visa. The world is changing fast and we are in a new age.

True. The only education that is really crucial for everyone to have is elementary education. Just enough to learn how to read, write and solve basic arithmetic.

University level education is only really worth it if you’re going to study a technical, science or professional course like engineering, medicine or law. All this Bsc in English, Business administration, Yoruba studies etc. are a big waste of time. You will be better off using that time on an apprenticeship. I am a business graduate myself and I can tell you there is nothing I learnt in 4 years of Uni that I couldn’t learn in 6 months of actually running my own business.

Many institutions would take a graduate of any engineering course into AI, if he/she graduated with high grades.

It is called numeracy, which without doubt such a person possesses.
