dannybomb:Though the preferable sponsors are always Mum, Dad or Siblings. In this your scenerio, if your Uncle bears the same surname with you, yes you can use him as a Sponsor. So he will have to explain why he is sponsoring u and some other information necessary for him to show that he is capable and ready to Sponsor you He has to show that if he stands as ur sponsor (pay ur Tuition, and make available the $10,000 CAD for your one year living Expenses) he would still av substantial money left in his account for himself. Since your uncle is your Sponsor, he can use the sample below to write/draft his own Letter of Sponsorship, he should change the Father to Uncle, and avoid plagiarism of that sample to the barest minimum Letter of Sponsorship Sample (Father) - Find Attached (Avoid Plagiarism) https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/121#91193146 Finally, the content in the link below will be very helpful in your Canada Study Visa Application, and many potential questions you might likely ask has been answered in that link. Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by olasubomy: 5:35pm On Nov 15, 2020 |
englois: Hi Englois, (1) You can proceed to make payment if you can afford to pay and still have substantial amount in your bank statement but you can ask your school on their refund poilicy should in case the Visa approval does not come as expected. Though, it is not compulsory to make this payment but you must proof in your SOP or LOA that you are able to fund your tuition and living expense for the duration of your programme.( you can share this SOP privately with any of the guru in ths house to help you proof read to be sure there are no loopholes) Please dont post your SOP on the public forum. Your SOP is a very vital document to your application. (2) Yes you have to declare all your biological siblings. IRCC do share information country by country with other countries so they will see this information in their record. I wish you success and it will end in praise. 1 Like |

Good Evening Everyone, Please i need your thoughts on this. I am actually a student with the Simon Fraser University, Burnaby Canada. Studying online from Nigeria. (MA Educational Technology and Learning Design) This program consists of courses and a thesis for a minimum of 34 units I made a choice of picking 3 courses this fall term due to the notification I got about a course related to my research area on inclusion, which is (EDUC 710 – Autism Spectrum Disorder). The other core courses are EDUC-890 (Education Media as a foundation of the curriculum) and EDUC-893 (Social and Organizational Aspects of Learning Technology Design). Their Credits are as follows: EDUC-890 - 4 Credits EDUC-893 - 4 Credits EDUC-710 - Was moved from 3 – 5 Credits Totaling 13 Credits. The upcoming Spring Term I have EDUC-864 (4 Credits) & EDUC892 (4 Credits). The two terms make up 21 credits which are above the 50% study outside of Canada requirements for my postgraduate work permit (PGWP). I wish to ask what your take is on the current situation that I am in? And is the 50% outside of Canada studies based on course load (Credit Units) or is it based on program duration? And how is it Calculated ? http://www.sfu.ca/students/calendar/2019/summer/programs/educational-technology-and-learning-design/master-of-arts.html |

chuksinfotech: This question is rather unique and no one may be able to advice you, based on personal experience. I think you should ask the international department in your school. You can also send a message to IRCC Twitter page. My opinion 2 Likes |

Hello dannybomb, Just like @lekkiboboe said, To apply for your Canadian visa, you need to show your 1 year tuition and 10,000 cad for upkeep. 10,000 cad alone is 3 million Naira. Your tuition for a year would be 10,000 cad or more (so budget should be 3 million and up for 1 year tuition) When you add both of them, that’s 6 million. So the minimum amount you should have is 6 million. The tuition can even be more depending on your school. And your sponsor cannot have 6 million exactly, because it’s not possible for him to give you all his money. So he should have way above what you need. The canadaian journey is expensive. If you’re looking for something more affordable, check Europe. All the best dannybomb: |
