Mildred01: Your application has taken longer than expected. Be proactive by raising a CSE through webform to IRCC and Nairobi visa office, so they could facilitate the finalization of your application. I will recomend you do this on a daily basis if possible. I reiterate, be proactive! It will end in praise 2 Likes |

Kakokako: I know a few paper route applicants who got approval last month. The visa office in Nairobi have started attending to paper applications. You just have to keep sending emails and webforms to them. It will end in praise |

Good morning I was chatting with a friend that we both applied for Canada and she told me her agent told her that a medical will be requested for 2 weeks after our biometrics. How real is it please? I was thinking of doing an upfront medical or wait since the 2 weeks will be completed by tomorrow since I did my biometrics on the 5th of November! |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Baphil: 10:18am On Nov 18, 2020 |
It's been declined because most banks are on the monthly limit of $100 presently. You may have to get a domiciliary account atm card to be able to make transactions above $100 US dollars. It's sad but so true. Ayokaq: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Baphil: 10:21am On Nov 18, 2020 |
I don't think this is totally true. Do an upfront medicals and submit with your application if you haven't submitted yet. If you have, raise a web form and attach your medical form with your letter. There is no time to waste my dear brother. HorlarJP: 2 Likes |

HorlarJP:Lol, I applied on Sept 7th and till now I haven't gotten a medical request, I had to just go ahead and do an upfront medical exam. if you can do your medical request upfront do it because available medical appointment dates are running thin. That 2 weeks time frame isn't so feasibly, no time frame with Canada is definite now. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Baphil: 10:24am On Nov 18, 2020 |
I see you have submitted since you have done your biometrics. Do your medicals and aise a web form then. Bear in mind that you need to book appointment for your medicals too and you may not get a very near date as desired. When are you planning to resume? Baphil: |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Frankrobbn1: 10:46am On Nov 18, 2020 |
HorlarJP: The bolded is a falsifying statement. No one can tell for sure the exact period of time IRCC will request for medicals from you. From the wisdom of my experiences, IRCC initiates a medical request during the ELIGIBILITY review and when the responsible immigration officer is convinced about your intent is to study and depart after studies. On the other hand, getting a medical request is still not a guarantee that a visa will be issued as along the line, there might be some concerns arising from the PA's application, which could require further examinations. Above all, you may go for an upfront medicals and upload a copy of the E-medical slip with your application. This will facilitate the processing of your application. It will end in praise. 1 Like |

OluwasureGig:Hi , Am no expert, but 4.5 million won't be enough Reasons are - Tuition for International students begins at $14, 000 CAD upward - You need to have or show at least the availability of $10,000 CAD (that's around 3 million) for your one year living expenses (Very Mandatory). Hello Nairalanders, Which is the best study pathway for immigration to Canada? Here is my profile summary, I have B.sc and M.Sc in Economics and also obtained ACA (Chartered Accountant). I have 10 years experience in Accounting, Audit and Finance. My CRS score is around 460 and it seems quite low for Express Entry ( Pls share other means to enhance it) I really want to relocate to Canada through study program as this seems much available. Please advise on the funded M.Sc or Phd programme that fits my qualification and work experience. I will appreciate if you can also share university links for this. Thank you to all Nairalanders |
