Please, be careful when making a transaction at a POS terminal. Some POS agents can send your ATM card details to fraudsters.

• HOW IT IS BEING DONE

When you go to a POS terminal to make a transaction, he/she will collect your ATM card and slot it into an ATM machine. After few seconds, he/she will tell you that the POS machine is malfunctional (i.e not working properly). He/She will tell you that you should wait while he/she bring another POS machine inside.

When he/she goes inside, your ATM card will be snapped (including the surface and below) with a smartphone. He/She will surely come out with another POS machine, but you will not know that your ATM card had been snapped and sent to fraudsters! The fraudsters will now use your ATM card details and make transactions online!

No transaction could be done without your PIN and also One Time Password will be sent to the line linked to your BVN or your mail....

well you know many bank staffs are underpaid and many are scammers so they know the accounts of people who have lots of money but not activated online. so they can create accounts and transfer all your money and mute the alert. when you go into the bank they will tell you your account is empty. thats the disadvantage of an account not online that you can monitor every second of the day.

well you dont have to sue them. after investigation if they find out you are not culpable they will give you your money back. it will take a few weeks though.

First when you collect your ATM Card you be asked to activate it for online transaction
One of the few ways to activate it is by
SECURE PIN this is old method don't know if still works
OTP PIN newest method...can be accessed through your registered phone number
IF YOU DO THIS AFTER COLLECTING YOUR CARD no online platform can debit you without your ATM pin not to talk of Secure pin or otp

But If you fail to do this, some bank will allow transaction on your your card with your ATM PIN on some online platform...
But Never Without your ATM PIN or OTP

The thing is that some people tend to limit themselves withing the confinement of the little they know and are not open to learn what they don't know.
And they also believe that whatever they don't know does not exist. That is stupidity.

Do u know that I just need the 1st 6 digits of ur ATM Card to tell you much about the kind of card u carry. The Bank etc.

The 1st digit will tell u weda u are carrying Visa or Master Card. You call it System Number.
If it starts with:
4 it is Visa Card
5 it is Master Card

The next 5 digits after the system number is the Bank Number. That is the bank that issued the ATM Card.
So this first 6 digits are very important in hacking ATM Card.

The next 9 digits is useful only to bank cos they use it to identify the owner of the ATM card. That is where your Account number and personal details are embedded.

What about the last digit of ur ATM Card. That is the Check Digit which is calculated based on the Luhn algorithm. It prevents unintended mistakes that are bound to appear if the numbers are typed manually.

Do u also know that when u places ur ATM Card over UV light, just like paper currency, you will see "V" for Visa Card and "M" for Master Card?

Someone that does not know anything about Card and how it operates will be jumping up and down with limited superficial knowledge.

Haven't use first mobile app, but I believe app should have such facility. Even if I misplaced my card I do not need to contact my bank customer service I can block the card at my home using the mobile app

For confirmation, jst drop ur card number, exp date nd Security without pin. U will come bk to explain weda it is possible or not. As long ur card is Visa or MasterCard, ur pin is useless once the above details re available. It seems u re only used to using ur card with naija and African merchants hence this ur reasoning.
