Wi-Fi in Tertiary schools have existed in Ghana for years. It has always been the responsibility of the Institutions or the SRC to provide the schools with Wi-Fi but the difference here is, this Wi-Fi is a Government's initiative. Free Wi-Fi

From next year, all Public University Students excluding foreign students will pay only 50% of their School fee's.

Government has commissioned Free Wi-fi Project to tertiary institutions in Accra today. The project, which was executed by Electricity Compaoof Ghana (ECG), leverages ECG’s fiber optic network to provide free internet connectivity to tertiary institutions. The pilot covered 13 tertiary institutions within the ECG coverage area.
