Guys, I simply don't understand this people anymore. I submitted my application for a visit visa since 29th of September didn't get a response so I sent an email the first time and I was told my application has been escalated and will get a response 15days after, after 15days I called again and was been told that my application will be escalated again and I will get a decision 15days and the initial 15days was been acknowledged.

The date for my vacation has passed.
What could actually be wrong and who has experienced this before?

Cyberknight:

Even specialist immigration lawyers and caseworkers draft cover letters when they are dealing with the Home Office, and advise applicants to do so, obviously, from your standpoint, because they have nothing better to do with their time and think that all applications are meticulously examined line by line.

If cover letters were pointless, then by now they would have gone out of use, as visa officers would certainly have made known their dislike of them, if that were the case.

As you said, each to their own.
Okay

what airline did you use pls and did they ask you for covid 19 test before flying ?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by mimilyrics: 6:44pm On Nov 22, 2020
Visiting visa - this will be just for short visits though. In this case, to file from Nigeria will require the spouse in the UK to hold permanent residence (British citizenship or ILR) or any of the visas that allow the UK spouse to work and live in the UK (ie. Tier 1, 2).

Another option will be to get into the UK legally through another route that allows working, living and studying in the UK switch to a dependant spouse visa based on discretionary grounds but that can be a whole lot of money and uncertainty involved.

Please I have someone that is currently having the same issue as your brother.
Please has his wife left the uk and what visa did she apply for? Is it dependent or marriage visa?

Next year. I was supposed to have gone for my vacation early this year, but couldn't travel due to the pandemic. I will apply again once I have the time and I hope that my unused and expired visa will be reissued.

This is a very distressing situation. I can’t even imagine how u feel. Can u send them an email again? At least with email coorespondence you would have the opportunity to continue to disturb them until u are sorted. Sorry

Hello house,
Kindly advice on how best to go about correcting this case of refusal.
Submitted 2 bank statements. 1 salary the other savings. Salary is 150k. Monthly expense is 50k. Indicated esusu savings of 100k per month x 15 months is the reason for lumpsum 1.5m in savings account(receipt attached) which i intend to spend from on the trip.
All the sources of large amounts were clearly explained in the cover letter as they were all not mine and were debited immediately.

1. None of the bank statements have record of your monthly salary

2. Lodgment of 1.5 million is another issue. Your claim about the lodgment and the contribution might be true but it will be very hard to convince anyone.

To reapply submit a statement that shows record of your salary. Also you need to forget the contribution for now. Allow your money to stay in your savings account so you will not need explanation in future. I don’t really know the importance of the contribution since you have a bank account.

Your income is N288k, disposable income is N176k. Assuming your travel budget is 1k GBP, which is about N500k, this is almost tripple your disposable income. If you're going to stay with a friend or family in order to cut the cost of your trip below 1k GBP, your case will be better presented. 500k is less than twice your income, hopefully ECO will not go the route of disposable income on you.

Good morning, thanks for the response.
Have been refused becos of more than 2times of my disposable income.
The way forward what do you advise I use as monthly expenditure in other not to exceed 2times my disposable income and should my budget be this time around, DAT include flight and miscellaneous, as am staying wit a friend DAT will provide accommodation and feeding. as the ECO said my condition need to change before I can apply again, and I intend to apply in 3months time. If i were staying with a friend, my budget should be around 700GBP. I will shorten the length of my stay to reduce the budget. You're already spending 112k/month. You can't reduce it to zero, even if you reduce your living expense by 50% (66k/month), it will only add about 100gbp to your budget. Keep your budget and expense low but reasonable. If it's too low, it becomes unreasonable, ECO will spot it.

ECO will not ask u to explain feeding or anything. They only ask u to state ur budget not give breakdown.
Pls dnt pass 500k as ur budget pls since you say your disposable income is 250k.

I think you will have to pay this compulsory fee since you choose vi, Ikeja is free and you don't need to pay any money except you opt for paid service.

It is compulsory I think. I went for my biometrics at VI too. Whether it is applicable for Ikeja is what I don't know. For you to get to this point, I guess you can't go back to select Ikeja.
