Philosopher1979: HOW NIGERIAN LEAGUE CAN IMPROVE
The Nff and government should make it a law that no Nigerian footballer should leave Nigeria before the age of 28. Most of our best footballers go through football academies and leave without even playing in the nigerian league The few good ones in our league leave after a few years or even months.
Imagine if Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze, Obinna Nwobodo, Keneth Omeruo, Peter Etebo etc were in Enyimba They would win many international trophies in African football. This law should be in place for 15 years. Also our local clubs should patronize football academies for players. If there is a law players cant leave before 28, football academies will be forced to sell there players to Nigerian clubs and not European agents to make money
This measure should be put in place until our league can stand on its on. It does not work this way bro. Truly, our league will develop but we will be so poor internationally. |

4-3-3 attack, 6-3-1 defense I am so missing the game unfortunately. |

Improve the pay and welfare packages, improve the stadia and viewing structure, pay workers and improve transportation etc. Then there would be no need to force players to stay.
If not you can't stop players from having better lives. The system is rotten down here. Let the nff and sports ministry start by stopping corruption and looting going on there first. 7 Likes |

This won't do shit, this players you mentioned got to the level they are now because of facilities and exposure they get in Europe, you should be talking about improving the facilities and welfare of the players, the same league where a player died because of simple first aid that wasn't available, imagine the clash of heads that happened in arsenal game happened here in Naija,we would have been morning the loss of young men.The same league where players hardly get their pay, so you think a young player will here that Iheanacho pockets over 70k pounds while doing almost nothing, and he will still wait till he's 28 before going to make his own, you lie brah, that isn't happening. The first step to improving our league is to privatize all clubs, you want them to stay in Naija as if we have the facilities to develop them. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Thank you,in early 80s how many players travel out for lucrative career?the pay then was okay cos exchange rate with dollar was damn good.I don't expect player like Segun Odegbami to end his career in Nigeria league but can we get it right again,i doubt it. 1 Like |
