Philosopher1979:
HOW NIGERIAN LEAGUE CAN IMPROVE

The Nff and government should make it a law that no
Nigerian footballer should leave Nigeria before the age of 28.
Most of our best footballers go through football academies and leave without even playing in the nigerian league
The few good ones in our league leave after a few years or even months.

Imagine if Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze, Obinna Nwobodo, Keneth Omeruo, Peter Etebo etc were in Enyimba
They would win many international trophies in African football.
This law should be in place for 15 years.
Also our local clubs should patronize football academies for players.
If there is a law players cant leave before 28, football academies will be forced to sell there players to Nigerian clubs
and not European agents to make money

This measure should be put in place until our league can stand on its on.
And what is that going to do if the players don't get the quality coaching/facilities they get while in europe??

Saw tosin play against Leicester last night and he was a delight to behold.

He was so smooth it seem as if fulham had van dirk's younger brother as their cb. We need the kid in the super eagles asap!

Lookman and Aina were good too
I have a feeling the hold up with Lookman's switch is to see how he performs by the end of the season.
Southgate likes that guy too much to let him go easily.

he did not even consider the fact that the move will first of all get us a heavy ban from fifa. Even Brazil has stars but management still makes the league not up to par with Europe.
Additionally, sale of players funds our Nigerian clubs. If they remain, where will the club get money to pay players? The best thing is to improve the league up to Latvian standards so that they can strike deals with bigger clubs and thus earn more money to develop their clubs.

One of the masters of the Game ,JJ Okocha has pointed that what Rohr needs now is quality midfielders . Coming from JJ, this shows again that we lack quality midfielders.
Nobody should mention Muazum or any carpenter here

Forget Eze. That one just dey wait for invite. If we no complete that process before end of season and he maintains this form - Lookman is gone.

his rating was 7.41 at the end of the game. A really solid showing. Zaidu is gradually making his mark in europe. If he continues in this trajectory he will be making a big move soon. Already i think he has that left back slot in the NT locked down.

When Rohr needed GK he went to Deportivo reserve team and German division 4 to go and get them, if he really need midfielders he'll surely get them he just doesn't see it as a priority

Not that we have no Midfielders, Rohr prioritizes invitation of defenders over midfielders. What do you call an 18 man squad that will have 10 defenders ( 6CBs, 2RBs and 2LBs). Some other teams build their Team around the midfield. We build ours around the defense because even going forward we are lean up-front.

What is Rohr doing with this large number of CBs:
Leon Balogun
William Troost-Ekong
Chidozie Awaziem
Kenneth Omeruo
Semi Ajayi
Kelvin Akpoguma

6! And yet he doesn't know his best pairing option.

And he will still invite Zaidu Sanusi, Collins, Ebuehi and Aina as Full backs.
Yet he will still be playing a CB as RB!

It appears Rohr doesn't have the balls to drop some of these defenders.

We don't need more than 6 defenders, at most 7 to prosecute an AFCON qualifying game. The other spots in the team should be used to invite midfielders and forwards.
