* Suspected Killers Of Ondo Monarch, 15 Others Arrested By Amotekun

Places surveillance on Falae farm

By Dayo Johnson – Akure
Suspected killers of the Ondo first-class monarch, the Olufon of lfon, Oba Isreal Adegoke Adeusi, have been arrested by the personnel of the state Security Network Agency codenamed “Amotekun Corps”.

Also, the security outfit has arrested 15 other suspected criminals in different flashpoints across the state under its “Operation Clean up” exercise.

The late Oba Adeusi was gunned down by suspected kidnappers at Elegbeka village in Ose council area of the state last week.

Addressing newsmen in Akure, the state Commander of the security outfight, Amoyekun Corps, Chief Adeleye, who did not disclose the number of suspects arrested in connection with the killing of the traditional ruler said an investigation was still ongoing on the matter.

Adeleye said that their identities would be made public after thorough investigations by the security outfit.

According to him, the suspects were arrested after the security outfit in conjunction with other conventional security agencies, local hunters and members of the Odua Peoples Congress (OPC) combed the forest where the monarch was murdered.

Adeleye said that “we were also able to rescue four other victims that were earlier kidnapped and held hostage in the thick forest around Elegbeka where the monarch was shot dead.

He said that the outfit had launched “operation clean up” to rid the state of criminal element terrorising the people of the state.

He said that the exercise would last a month adding that the spate of crime necessitated the massive patrol by the personnel of the security outfit.

“Following the increase in the spate of criminal activities, the Amotekun went into action with other security agencies and put up some measures that had yielded positively by stepping down the activities of the criminals.

“We have decided to change tactics; this involves massive patrol using a bike, motorised patrol of the state. We have decided to take the war to where the criminals are rather than waiting for them to come out.”

The commander said that Amotekun in conjunction with other conventional security agencies raided dark spot across the state between 10 pm and 4 am and 15 suspects were arrested during the exercise codenamed “Operation Clean Up”.

“We observed a downward trend after the ban on okada at night so we had to change tactics. That was why we launched the Operation Clean Up which is intense patrol across the nook and cranny of Akure and other parts of the state.

“We apprehended them with dangerous weapons and various incriminating items. Although we are a still investigating their culpability anyone that is not found wanting would be set free while those implicated would be handed over to the appropriate security agencies for prosecution.”

On the ban of motorcycle operators in the state by government, Adeleye lamented that 80 per cent of the crime committed in the state were perpetrated by criminal using motorbikes

The commander said that the security outfit has placed the farm of the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Chief Olu Falae, on surveillance and warned herders to keep off.

Nice one from Amotekun

At least we are doing something down here.

Northern leaders should learn from this.
Investigate, make arrests, prosecute.

Give the perpetrators something to fear.
Remind them no one is above the law.

Amotekun is here to stay.. we say no to banditry and kidnapping on our soil.

We really need to look into mass migration of some people into our lands. They now run baby factories and human trafficking syndicates in SW. Soon they'll influence naive Yorubas into joining their illicit business and end up destroying our morals and value, stealing and selling descendants of Odua for money, rituals and organ harvesting. People who love money over life are not welcomed in our midst.

Honestly we need to pass DEATH SENTENCE on baby factory, human trafficking etc. in South West before these people destroy our region.

Yoruba leaders have let us down in Yorubaland and if care is not taken, our values will be completely destroyed.

I think they’ve started sentencing them to death. Although the below is not baby factory but from the same set of people. Imagine leaving your region to the SW to come and cause trouble.

They nabbed some criminals in Ogun state also who came all the way from Anambra to steal Okadas.

SW is now like a banana republic where all tribe just do anyhow without consequence. I think our liberal way of life is affecting us and we don’t know.

Three traders, Ikechukwu Chukwu, Obieze Sylvanus and Chidiebere Obi, have been sentenced to death by hanging by an Ondo State High Court.

They were arraigned on a seven-count charge bothering on conspiracy and armed robbery.

The three traders were alleged to have in 2017 raided 11 houses one night as well as terrorise residents around Isolo axis and Adegbola area of Akure

Luck ran out of them where they were sharing their loot at an uncompleted building when men of the disbanded SARS swooped on them and arrested them.

The Prosecution led by State Chief Legal Officer, Bunmi Koyenikan called eight witnesses including some victims of the gang.

In his judgment, Justice William Lamide found the three accused guilty on the seven count charges.

Justice Olamide convicted the three traders based on their confessional statements and testimonies of their victims.

He sentenced them to seven years imprisonment for conspiracy and death by hanging for armed robbery.

This is another one in Ondo state as far back as 2016.

PhockPhockMan:
Like new clothes getting used to the body, a new way of making money through the sale of new-born babies and child-trafficking is gradually being perfected across the country in different dimensions.
The racket of mating young girls and boys to “produce” children for sale to desperate buyers is fast gaining prominence not only in the South-East but also in the South-West. Operators of the homes and their syndicates usually scout for teenagers or other classes of females with unwanted pregnancies or yoked with inordinate desire for materialism, who they lure to their herbal clinic for delivery.

In Ondo State, child-trafficking is now common unlike in the past when it is regarded as not only a crime to humanity but also to God. Of recent, over 10 cases of child-trafficking have been reported and handled by relevant security agencies in the state.
These included the two suspected Camerounian ladies, Ngala Nungu and Mrs. Mende Cecilia, who were arrested by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) at the Calabar seaport for allegedly stealing a five-day-old baby girl. Nungu claimed that she delivered the baby at Okitipupa through the help of a lady who specialises in herbal medicine.

Meanwhile, one of the rescued teenagers disclosed to newsmen that five men were having sex with them daily, but that the “rent” was going to their Chairman, Ojeme. Narrating the pathetic story of her bungled search for greener pastures, she said: “We followed a friend to Akure from Ikom, Akwa Ibom State, to Akure on a promise to be working in a supermarket, but we were lured into prostitution on getting here after we had been locked up.
Five or six men would have sex with me every day. For instance, every Friday, six men will sleep with me and N6,000 will be paid to madam, while on Saturdays five men must have sex with me and the money paid to madam.”

Another case of child-trafficking took place last week when 17-year-old Tessy Obianu was nabbed by the Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for allegedly selling her baby to a couple in Onitsha, Anambra State, for N500,000.
Her action, according to the police, was influenced by a specialised child-trafficker, a certain Mrs. Chibuzor Okoye, who allegedly convinced her to sell the baby to Mr. and Mrs. Sunday Kalu, who were desperately in need of a baby.
The police command’s image maker, Mr. Femi Joseph, said the agency was tipped off on the crime when Tessy’s father, Mr. Henry Obianu, who lives at Ogbese in Akure, reported that her daughter was missing with her pregnancy.

That's the way to go.. we move ahead of the enemy.

The attrocities being perpetrated by outsiders in Yorubaland now is troubling. Our people need to speak up and start condemning this disservice in Yorubaland. I mean the pressure on our roads, health centres, infrastructure has increased ten folds due to influx of outsiders yet we are left to suffer the bad roads with no special consideration.

Yorubas need to wake up abeg. Enough is enough!
