I agree if they had scored one more, it would have been harder to come back from that, but well it is what it is. Same way if Martial and those boys had converted our chances from close range against PSG we probably would have at least gotten a draw from that game. In the end, you want to win enough to win. I think the playing pattern improved overall.
few teams are playing two games every week in the EPL since the restart after covid-19 lockdown and it's continued into this season. the rejection of five subs in England is also a factor.
we are bound to see some tepid displays from these clubs from time to time. these displays will even be more frequent from February next year.
I hope we can add a body or two when the winter window opens up.

No complaints about the second half from my end. The seriousness was there which was very absent in the first half. This has been the case for far too long now.

I don't know if Ole is watching Declan Rice, but the guy is the perfect Matic replacement we might need in future. The guy has the composture of Matic as a lone DM we need , can tackle and with better passing than Fred or Mctominay. Also, he has the legs to run too.

E go pain me if Chelsea gets the guy.

Ole has to find a way to get the team playing with urgency...On a bad day, we would have been 3 goals down going into the second half and that would've been game over. I reckon the team that started was good enough to take the game to West Ham but no, they played like complwte strangers and that's a big problem because Bruno can't possibly play every game lest he breaks down at the business end of the season...

I will like to see our players hold onto the ball a lot less, VDB gives a lot of joy in this regard.

Leipzig up next and with Cavani and Martial (Good for us) likely to miss out, it looks like we will revert to a diamond formation with Mctominay at the base, Pogba on the left, VDB on the right and Bruno at the top of the diamond...Hopefully we see more of that 2nd half performance going forward...#GGMU

The first half performance was abysmal. Disjointed passes and poor defence. Them just dey slide through the defence like butter.

The midfield didn't do much for the attack and the attackers were not wise. In all, players are jittering.

How did the pattern improve? We're still starting our press near the halfway line, wait for counters, and try to get the ball to the no.10 as much as possible.

Bet we would still be binary FC if Perraira or Lingard was still playing the 10 position.

In a different context, at some point last season Fred was playing accurate passes in-between opponent lines and making use of his low gravity, doesn't do that these days, wonder if anyone else noticed.
