Is it possible as a Nigerian (masters student) to apply for the Federal Skilled Worker Program from the Uk.
Yes, the step by step process is on page 1. You'd stand a better chance after completing your masters tho.

Just send a mail to Qlife. Send it on a working day, and around 10am in the morning. You will get a quick reply. Propose dates, and they will tell you the available dates. For Qlife, you pay when you get there. Seems IOM is closed for upfront medicals for the year.
Thank you i really appreciate this

Marybolaalonge ,regardless of the refusals some students still get visas. If you’re required to take GRE please take it and aim to score high and if you’re not required to take GRE just be grounded on the course objectives for your masters degree and also a solid reason why you’re choosing that school. You can visit the Usa student thread and the Canada student thread I’m certain you’ll get all the information you need from there by going through the experiences of others who have recently gotten visas. Just be sure you’re doing the right thing / making the right decision.

Tbh, with due respect to you sir, I beg to disagree. I won't advice anyone to stay in this country for the next two, three years; especially when he/she is already aware of this immigration level. If she has money, and I assume she does, for finishing university education at 19,20(most likely private university). I assumed because I entered school at 16 myself, OAU and I'm yet to go for NYSC sef, so we know how it works. If she has money, she should apply for either UK or Canada Student visa or even both. For the Canada Student Visa, it doesn't matter her grade for d grant of visa if a school already admitted her. All she needs is to package her application well, ensure the proof of funds and sponsorship is convincing and been able to convince the VOs that she will return to Nigeria after the Program (perspe, lol).

DESPITE the immigration plans rolled out by the Canadian Government, we can't be sure of what will happen in two, three years. Too long to predict. Noone saw Corona virus coming nor EndSARS. In conclusion, apply for the Student Visas, or go the PNP route if you r a Medical or Tech Graduate, since French irritates you.
Laughing ... Nigeria is not working for many except the business elites, political class and employees of some government agencies

Thank you very much, I actually went to a Federal University plus I'm so frustrated with the current situation of Nigeria can't wait any longer. I'm also scared in the next three years after getting the targeted immigrants, getting PR to Canada might become stricter or even closed. So many things on my mind. Please can I send you an email sir please

Immigration policies changequite frequently and I'll use my experience as an example. In 2018 February a friend told me about express entry and I told him I was aware of it but I can't leave Nigeria without anything solid in Canada. I had also just been promoted at my job. At the end of 2018 I got promoted again and was taking home 560k monthly. Some of my colleagues who were taking home 700k monthly relocated to Canada ( we were all in out late 20s working in tech) and I was wondering why. At workplace we get extra pay for projects outside Nigeria and you can earn extra $8,000 if you work 3 weeks abroad and boys in late 20s / early 30's were somewhat comfortable. However, we had a change in management and a new department boss who was not a tech driven person and he frustrated the offshore work prospects. A good number of people use to get about two of those trips each year but in the 18 months there has been no such trip. People have now adjusted to their naira income despite the devaluation. It reminded me that in Nigeria you can wake up one morning and lose everything.

Nevertheless I summoned courage and reluctantly took the IELTs exam in October and also had my degree verified. My IELTS result was released on October 4th which got me a score of 473. However , I needed the TRF number to enter the pool (British council) which did not come till October 12th. I picked it up from the courier handling unit of my workplace on the 15th as I was too busy on the 12th, 13th and 14th. I was heading home with plans to enter the pool that day when I got stuck in traffic at the lekki-ikoyi link bridge caused by the endsars protesters . While waiting in traffic a friend called to ask if I got an ITA and I told him I was yet to enter the pool and he told me there had just been a draw with a cut-off of 471. I told him I will join before the next draw. I entered the pool same day.

Expected next draw on October 30th but it didn't happen. Two days later we heard of a policy change whereby bilinguals will receive additional 50 points and French proficient profiles will receive additional 30 points and I began to wish that I acted proactively. The next draw happened November 6 and cut-off was 478 which was 5 points higher than my score. A few days later we heard there was a policy change with profiles with Canadian education receiving extra 30 points. I used the CRS score calculator to verify this and rumour was true. Luckily it was reversed after two days. A draw was then held on November 18 and I received the ITA 12 days to my birthday. Negligence almost got me out of express entry. At a point I gave up and began to rely on the Ontario tech draw.

With this I'll advice anyone considering this to app;y as soon as possible as no policy is fixed

For saskatchewan PNP, I studied agric as my first degree and have a PGD in crop soil and pest management.

Do I have to apply to jobs related to exactly what I studied in school?

I worked more as an agricultural representative.

1.I don't know which to go for. The NOC 2123 stated for Natural and applied sciences and related occupations while the 8431 is for Natural resources, agriculture and related production occupations.

2. Also my job experience does not directly relate to my course of study, though I offers agric representative/extension courses in school first degree.

Hi everyone,

My NOC for Saskatchewan Express Entry application is 2172 - Data analyst and database administrator. I have an ECA for my Masters in Business Administration however I do not have for my BSc in Computer Science. Do I need to get an ECA for the BSc to increase my chances of success or I can proceed with the MBA alone?

Thanks in advance.

For SINP......please refer to their website below..... other applicants who have gone through SINP may also be able to help.

For SINP, your course of study MUST match your work experience and in general, your chosen NOC must match the job duties in the work experience reference letter that you provide.

Note that skill level C will not qualify for the Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program nor SINP. 8431 is skill level C.

I don't know if an MBA covers a multitude of NOCs or only finance related ones.

I agree with the last speaker.

We are all very grateful for the 469 of 2 weeks ago that came just in time before many Dec birthdays....but governments make 5 year plans and in some instances adjust them, as the economy or other things evolve.

Look at SINP......giving additional points to bilingual candidates similar to what IRCC did in October.

Moral is seize the day. May God bless our hustle.

Thanks for the insight. Regards degree course matching the NOC, I was awarded a B.Agric as first degree. There's no specific field stated in my certificate that relates to the NOC. My project was not related to the NOC. Though, I offers courses in the university which relates to NOC 2123.

My PGD was not related to the NOC as well.

Is it possible at all to apply considering I offered courses related to NOC 2123 skill A in my first degree?

I also did jobs related to it, though for 6 months but I can package it to be 3 yr

You need to first get the job description from your employer of the work you do or have done in the past. Then look for the NOC that the lead statement and duties match that job description from your employer. I dont know what "package 6 months as 3 years" means but one of the jobs must have been continuous for 1 year. Pls refer to page 1 under ELIGIBILITY - skilled work experience for details on this. There are other conditions....hours, pay, skill level etc.

Once you get the NOC number that matches the job description from your employer, you need to go to this link below ....from the SINP website pasted in previous post.... and check what degrees SINP are looking for each NOC.

I don't believe they are looking at specific electives, courses or papers you took during your degree. They seem to be looking for some specific degrees for some specific NOCs.

Pls carefully read page one and the SINP website to avoid errors. I'm no expert on SINP just regurgitating what I have read.

Please I really need help. I have done IELTS and ECA, this NOC confusion hasn’t let me submit my profile, I’m afraid of making any mistakes.

I initially wanted to use the NOC code for lawyers (4112) but I was only called to the bar in Dec 2017.
Then I decided to use NOC for paralegals.. (4211) as I have been qualified to work in that noc since 2015 and initially worked as that from 2015-2016, then after I was called to the bar, I added job duties at the law firm I worked with as a now qualified lawyer( 4112) .. (no promotion letter, the duties just came on.

Now in my employment I worked part time for a year as a paralegal while I was in law school, and since I came over for my masters(Uk) in last year I have been working part time remotely also.

Please how can I explain this in my profile to claim 3years and above work experience.

Another thing is, throughout my employment I was only paid commissions in cash. (Please how can I go about this). It was a corporate firm and we were allowed to bring on personal clients while still handle their own clients. You get .

I don’t know if anyone can assist me here, it’s been mentally draining and missing ITA’’s.. even if you know any great and experienced consultants that can help me out please. Thank you

IRCC accepts wages paid as commissions. Part time work is also permissible. Carefully review the link below and check that:
1) your work experience is in line with what is written there
2) you performed the duties of your chosen NOCs 3) your employer can give you reference letters with job descriptions that match the NOCs

The 1st NOC will have dates matching when you started working for the firm till when you were called to bar and your duties were expanded. The 2nd NOC from where the 1st ends to this present time/date. Your primary NOC on your profile can be either.......if both meet the conditions in the link below.

If you are the UK and the firm is in Nigeria, you may want to explain about working remotely, but that should be easy given the COVID reality of 2020......hopefully none of the duties in the NOC require you to be physically present in the same domicile as your employer e.g. going to court etc!

All the best.

I wish I could by it's second class lower with a low CGPA, scared of being denied visa and all since the rate of visa denial these days is alarming
People with third class get visas to study in Canada. That you are scared of being denied visa shows you are not hungry enough and may not have the fortitude to do the process. It's a gruelling process if you want to cross all the Ts and dot the Is. You can chill a bit till you develop your "Imustgo" desire but by then you will wish you started sooner.
