Download the ROM in .rar format from the ROM section in Umidigi Community.

Extract the contents of the file with WinRAR.
Download the latest version of SP Flash tool.

Open the SP flash tool application from its folder.

Locate the scatter file (MT6763) in the ROM folder you extracted.
Select DOWNLOAD ONLY (automatically selected) from drop-down, it's already selected.

Click download.

Turn off your phone, connect your phone to your PC.
It will automatically start flashing.
Wait for it to be completed.

Disconnect your phone.
Turn on your phone, and your phone will be back alive with stock ROM.

The picture attached is what I get when I try to either upload a picture status or share a picture in my WhatsApp.
Note that the normal camera output is okay as this issue only concerns WhatsApp.

1. What could be the cause?
2. What's the remedy?

PS, I've cleared cache many times and restart WhatsApp and phone plenty times but it's still the same.

Whatsapp dey reduce the size (storage) of picture thereby reducing picture quality.

You can try and reduce picture content like location data
