I've been struggling with Masturbation and pornography addiction for the past 15 years.
I've tried all I could to stop but all to no avail.
I've prayed and fasted so many times with no tangible result. What happens is that;
I'll stop for like six(6) months without endulging in it. But once am down I see myself in the act again.
It has been filled with ups and downs all dis years.
Anytime I endulge in it the aftermath is filled with regrets, guilt, shame and loss of inner power.
I always fill sad and empty afterwards.
I really don't know what to do again, I seriously need help. My relationship with God is as take here.

Don't give up!

You said you've prayed and fasted to no avail, but you're not telling the entire truth.

I believe praying and fasting has helped you significantly, but you stopped thinking you had overcome it.

Why stop?

You don't stop. You never stop. Even when it appears the thing has left, because it would return when you do because the flesh is weak.

Have you never heard the saying "pray without ceasing"?

Don't worry about the ups and downs. The only thing is that you don't settle for being down or give up.

As I said, don't stop till the point when you begin to see that it has left you. Even when it leaves, you still don't stop but continue to do the things that got you to that point to maintain the new level you're now walking on.

The only way to get free of the chains of sin is obedience. If you read the Gospel of John, that is what Jesus Christ tells you in Chapter 8. You have to learn the New Covenant, the Truth that God Commands, Jesus Christ, and when you obey His Commandments, you seize to be a slave to sin and instead become a Child of God. Read what Jesus Christ said and do as He commands.

I used to masturbe and watch porn alot. Glory be to God i stopped in may 20th, 2020. After God revealed the below scripture to me.

Study it well(everyday). It's the only true way out.

While masturbation is not listed as sin the Old Covenant, Jesus Christ sort of changed the landscape when He basically defined lust as sin. And since Jesus Christ, the New Covenant, is the law as far as all those who believe in Him, any act that has to do with lust is sin.

Now, this is not to say that those who are able to masturbate without lusting commit sin by their action. No, what is sin is lust itself.

Idleness? Not everyone who is idle resorts to sinning, and by the way, idleness is not recorded as sin.
