Look at what happened two years later when he wasn’t able to play, they get knocked out in the group. Look at what happened in 2010 after his retirement, from finalists, to bottom of the group. Plus two goals in the 98’ World Cup final which won France their first ever World Cup in their own stadium. Zizzou is a bigger legend in France than Xavi is in Spain

Messi , Maldini, yashin dint win the worldcup as well..rather Messi is the only person in that team that never won an international trophy, I dont know what he is doing there...if he is there , then di stefano and cruyff have a case

What most of you don't know is that each position get specialist and their designates . In term of of desirable statistics for midfield in passes, assists and chance creating ,Xavi has an edge over Zidane.Xavi has the mastery of midfield,hence the selection. But if we look at it in the angle of achievement and technicality, Zidane is a way better.
