One day you are advocating more patience with Emery, the next you are complaining that Arsenal are too patient. Oga why? undecided
Oga there's no where I advocated for more patience with Emery except earlier in his 2nd season when the complaints was just " Grinding results". Even at that when the result began to go worse, I supported the sack for trusting rubbish players.but I never was covering the senior average/bad players in the team.

Yeah, you have a point.

I don't think any top club in EPL would have allowed Arteta this leeway he had till now.

Another reason I feel fans would have either made him step up(that's dropping underperforming players) or see the sack is that, the boos by the fans would have reset his brain. If it continues, fans might start to leave before end of match, and if such bad run continues, then fans might refuse to turn up to stadium. This is where I feel the board will be pressured to step in cos they live for profit, thus if Arteta doesn't improve, he'll get the sack.

I just think Arteta prolonged stay is due to absence of fans, else he'll be in hotter seat than he is presently
You broke everything down to pieces.. No addition no subtraction. cool

One thing I don’t tolerate is mediocrity, especially in the face of obvious solutions to the challenges. I don’t care if I am called a hater but this mediocrity has to stop. Many of you know how passionate I am about our academy players! I don’t joke with them. Right now we are seeing their regression, stagnation or lack of desire. Saka, Willock, Nelson, Nketiah, Saliba, ESR, Niles have either regressed or stagnated. Players like Balogun, Azeez may get frustrated and leave the club because they are not getting game time. Just look at what Chelsea is doing with Gilmor, James and Mount (whether you like him as a player or not is a different conversation)

This culture of making excuses and rationalizing irrational behaviors does not show any kind of ownership from fans! We want to shield Arteta and continue to back him while he digs us deeper. If Arsenal was your personal business will you tolerate what Arteta is dishing?

He has to shape up or leave the club! The attitude we have with coaches is the same attitude the players feel entitled to. Arteta looks too comfortable and the body language does not tell of someone who is bothered about it and it is unacceptable. There is absolutely no sense of urgency in addressing our problem. I know the squad is bad but I can bet my left opposable thumb that a good coach will not have us sitting 15 and few points away from relegation.

Let me make very clear, I love Arteta, absolutely do and want him to succeed but he has not shown me anything on the pitch or off the pitch to convince me that this position is not too big for him. He has not managed the team well, especially the relationship and earning the respect of the team! This is one of the reasons I was greatly opposed to his hiring before Emery and after Ljunberg.

When we got Ebening, @Kokaneprodigy was very clear about his opposition and part of it was that Emery could not manage Big players, I countered that and argued that Emery would have learnt his lessons, alas he was right. We are seeing the same thing with Arteta, the favoritism, the total lack of discipline/ accountability, no clear tactics, absence of a merit based system and the gradual decline of young guns who are getting frustrated.

No ambitious coach can succeed without man-management skills. Once again, I love Arteta and want him to succeed but if he is not getting the boot, I am going to make the sit hot enough from here so can sit up and realize he is coaching Arsenal, not Wimbledon or Barnsley!!

the thing I love about them the most is how hard they work. They work so hard and frustrate opponents. Movement is superb too. But our own chickens will stay stagnant in one position be waiting for sideway passes. Useless bunch!

lol.. I know say him go be your boy. That guy seems like a genius. Just wanted to confirm from you since you're an Ac Milan fan

Haha.. Hague is an exceptionally talented player. He has the finesse and technique on the ball, a productive dribbler with good passing especially in small spaces and works just as hard. I love when he goes on his runs from deep!!! He is still young and the stability at Milan is all he needs to continue with his growth.

You sef sabi Jota too? I was willing to risk Auba's sell for Jota.
Another player I fancy at Wolves is Podence, he is hazard esque in that LW, watch the likes of utd or spurs snap them up for fee around £20M, while we keep trusting the process of Nelson

Coupled with how they scout low key fine players.
I wanted Nuno to replace Emery ahead of Arterta, dude knows how to build that drive, strength and believe into his players.

The bolded I've noticed from Wenger(last years) to Emery and Arterta.. I think this is a function of the players and not coach, I don't want to believe any coach will set up to play that drab football.
For me, I feel this can only be solved by bringing in Sanchez and Kante like players who can run, cover grounds and willing to receive the ball ..or how do you think this can be solved?

Wolves don't do extensive scouting, they implement an agent led recruitment system spearheaded by Jorge Mendes the super agent. Most of their signings are guys with links to Mendes.

My brother showed me podence when he was in olypiakos I think against spurs. I never paid attention until wolves paid for his service even with his injury.
I watched his first match in wolves colour fear catch me, I asked who is this no10 guy he said shebi that's the podence he was talking about.
We need scouts like that not the useless one that will give us Pepe and Chelsea rejects

Yes I can confirm that. Their scouting is just superb. They even got Semedo on loan when no one was looking. I think their performance boils down to the coach. Players like AMN and Torriera who have that work rate will thrive under such managers.

Which other way? You have just nailed it. The team lacks leaders and that's like someone will be doing escort services with no one shouting at him.

When I was coaching youths, I always encourage my boys to be vocal, that's the only way to instill leadership qualities in them.

Southampton won't be easy but it's a good game to redeem himself before we face the likes of Chelsea and co. I'll like to see more of the Europa guys especially Nelson and Balogun.
Nelson hasn't been on 2 matchdays squad now if I'm not mistaken.

Anyways, if Arteta likes let him redeem himself or not, me I don wash my hand comot for him matter. Na siddon look mode I dey now

Yeah... With the way the guy dribbles in tight spaces eh, it's surprising. I saw him do that once in a match, I thought it was a fluke, seeing him do that on another occasion, I then knew there's something about that boy. And his passes too are great. It's good he came and the right time wen Milan had stability, else it would have been detrimental to his growth

I like what they do, no big boys egos or billionaire in the team..just players ready for straight business in the pitch.

that job is too big for edu, imageine that szoboszlai kid was available for £25million during the last transfer window but arsenal board decided to use the whole transfer window to flirt with auorar for £45 million and at the end we couldn't get him and now we are suffering because we have no creative midfielder

My brother, the thing vex me . I think I and Jodera were discussing here on how it is a gamble to sign Aouar that there is nothing special about him. And Szoboszlai and Benrhama were both available for less fee. Arsenal's scouts no just get sense. what pains more is their interference with the coach's decision. Emery wanted Zaha, they gave him Pepe.....and many others i can't even remember .

Some coaches are just not suited to handling pressure like in big clubs, for example Moyes. But no doubt Nuno is a brilliant coach.
