One of the most idolatrous activities is around the corner. by elated177: 7:52pm On Dec 15, 2020 |
El Elohe Yahshrael! Yes! I mean Christmas. Our Master, Yahushua the Messiah, neither celebrated his day of birth nor did he instruct us to do so. In fact, I cannot think of a single place in the Scriptures where he made mention of his day of birth. The Scriptures didn't explicitly state the day of birth of our Master. I believe it wasn't a mistake. The well-decorated Christmas tree is an idol. You may not have realized it. If in doubt, read the following: Jer 10:1-5 Hear what YHVH says to you, people of Israel. This is what YHVH says: 'Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the heavens, though the nations are terrified by them. For the practices of the people are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with chisel. They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so that it will not totter. Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field, their idols cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them; they can do no harm nor can they do good.' Jer 5:1-3 'Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem, look around and consider, search through her squares. If you can find but one person who deals honestly and seeks the truth, I will forgive this city. Although they say, "As surely as YHVH lives," still they are swearing falsely.' YHVH, do not your eyes look for truth? You struck them, but they felt no pain; you crushed them but they refused correction. They made their faces harder than stone and refused to repent. I know many will try to explain it away by twisting the Scripture. What is the origin of the Christmas tree? May be a little research will help us. Also, what is the origin of birthday celebration? Isn't it interesting that the Scriptures have no single record of any of the servants of our Father in heaven celebrating his or her birthday? At least, there would have been records of those - birthday celebrations - of the wisest and richest man ever, king Solomon. The only records of birthday celebrations in the Scripture were those of pagans. Actually, on one occasion, John the Baptist lost his life. (Matt 14:1-12). It, therefore, shows that it was their custom - custom of the pagans at that time - to honour their birthday. Should a saint of YHVH of Hosts be following the customs of pagans, knowing full well that whatever they do is in honour of demons. (Lev 18:3-5 & 20:23; Jer 10:2). Lev 18:3-5 You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their practices. You must obey my laws and be careful to follow my decrees. I am YHVH your Elohim. Keep my decrees and laws for the person who obeys them will live by them. I am YHVH. Deut 20:23 You must not live according to the customs of the nations I am going to drive out before you. Because they did all these things, I abhorred them. 1 Cor 10:20 No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to YHVH, I do not want you to be participants with demons. By the time each Christmas comes to an end, many would have engaged in various forms of wickedness just to meet up. The period is associated with all forms of greed, criminality, debauchery, etc. There is nothing good about Christmas. Should the saints of YHVH of Hosts be honouring such evil? May our Father in heaven continue to bless and sustain his saints. May he continue to open our eyes to discern falsehood and continue to give us the humility and strength to accept his truth. Heb 5:13-14 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. I am just a messenger. El Elohe Yahshrael! Hallelu Yah! 1 Like |

Do what your religion asks of you and let others do theirs. Celebration is celebration. The bible does not have to specifically tell when and what to celebrate. If some people have picked a day to celebrate the coming of Jesus Christ, leave that to them. It doesn't have to be the exact day of his birth. 2 Likes |

donbachi:Jesus Christ did in fact specify a ritual for His followers to partake of, and that is the Last supper. Other than that, we are free to celebrate as we want so long as we do not pretend we do it on behalf of God or that God will somehow honor our celebration in any way. |

WoundedLamb: My religion is strict, complete and absolute obedience to my Master and Saviour, Yahushua the Messiah, the embodiment of the Ten Commandments of my Father in heaven, Yahveh of Hosts. All those who do this are saints of Yahushua the Messiah. This is the religion of such individuals. They are the ones this particular message is mainly meant for. Celebration may be celebration, like you opined. However, not everything the world celebrates will be celebrated by the saints of Yahushua the Messiah. On the contrary, every celebration that the Scriptures have not explicitly prescribed for the saints must be jettisoned. Those who have picked a day to celebrate their Jesus can go ahead and celebrate their Jesus, if they so wish and desire. However, so long as the Scriptures have not sanctioned such celebration, they should know that they are not doing it for the Saviour of the world, the begotten Son of the Creator of heaven and earth, Yahveh El Shaddai. Christmas is simply not for the saints of YAHVEH Almighty. 1 Like |

elated177: That's what you believe. Doing what you believe is good. They are doing what they believe. No one needs to keep calling the other out. Like I said, Jesus came to save mankind and I think that coming is worth celebrating. So if they have chosen to celebrate it in December, that's their business. You don't need to call them out. Peace |

phantom24: Which is one "one of those Sabbaths?" Everything about Christmas is idolatrous. If you are indirectly trying to know whether I keep the Sabbath, then know that I do. However, I don't belong to any denomination. I don't go to "church." I am Church. You need to repent and start obeying the Word of your Creator, Yahushua the Messiah, the embodiment of the Ten Commandments of YAHVEH Almighty. |

WoundedLamb: What do you mean by what I believe? Isn't the Scripture supposed to be the guide for everyone who claims to follow the Owner of the Scripture? Actually, this message is telling the saints of Yahushua the Messiah, who may have been ignorantly celebrating the idolatry, to come out of such idolatry. No matter how hard you try to interpret the idolatry called Christmas, you will always fail because the Scriptures, which are the guide, do not approve of it. Celebrate the Saviour of mankind by obeying his Commandments. That is all. |
Re: One of the most idolatrous activities is around the corner. by WoundedLamb: 10:07pm On Dec 16, 2020 |
elated177: Like I said, if we all start calling each other out for the differences in believe, the world will explode. They are things you believe are ideal and there are things others believe to be ideal too. When it comes to Christmas, the bible didn't say you should or should not celebrate the coming of Christ. So let those that want to celebrate it do so. |
Re: One of the most idolatrous activities is around the corner. by elated177: 10:40pm On Dec 16, 2020 |
WoundedLamb: The foundation: John 3:16 For YHVH so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Every other thing in the Righteous Walk is built upon the above. Now, consider this: John 15:10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. Keep the Ten Commandments of Yahveh Almighty. If you have not realized it yet, Yahushua the Messiah is the embodiment of the Ten Commandments. So, I don't know what you meant be people having different believes and all. All the saints of Yahushua the Messiah are united by ONE factor: OBEDIENCE to his COMMANDS. No saint of Yahushua the Messiah should join the world and celebrate the idolatrous Christmas. We should rather abhor it. This message does not have any kind of gun to anyone's head or sword to anyone's throat to compel them to celebrate or not celebrate the idolatry called Christmas. Those for whom they have been sent will receive it. Celebrate the Saviour of the world by obeying his Commandments. This is what those who claim they are celebrating the Messiah in Christmas detest...obedience to his Commandments. |

Enjoy the Sabbath. All that the saints need to do is shine like the light they are... obedience to the Commandments of our Master and Saviour, Yahushua the Messiah. Our warfare is not with physical guns, swords or wood. |
