MissMa01: Ontario accept cousin with prove from what I read. But if ontario eventually give me the 600 point. Can leave out the relationship on EE since they don't accept cousin, so as not to complicate things |

OlakunmiSMELTD:ontario makes use of your CRS scores. Cousin cannot be used for crs score or express entry profile. So can't be used 1 Like 1 Share |

horlorbah: 1. yes, NOCs under skill level 0, A and B are acceptable, provided they meet the conditions in this link: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/federal-skilled-workers.html#skilled 2. yes, provided at least one of the jobs is 1yr continuous, non-stop and meets the conditions in the link above 3. yes, I believe you can use 3 different NOCs, but your primary NOC must be one of them. 4. Sorry, no idea on NYSC issues as I really don't have any personal experience here. Many many people here have used it, please search "NYSC NOC" and limit to travel section for more details. good luck! 2 Likes 1 Share |

OlakunmiSMELTD: If the Express Entry profile does not have the option for cousin, then there is obviously no way you can select it. If you are worried about cousin being applicable for OINP but not for Federal FSW then just add a letter of explanation (LOE) to explain when you get the OINP nomination, ITA and you finally apply. You already have a nomination from Ontario and an express entry profile as I understand it. For OINP application, you need to submit docs that were requested by them, they are not using the information from your Express Entry profile, other than your NOC and maybe CRS. I may be wrong though. |

My people..good evening.i have come again. Please i need advice. I just got ontario nomination, however,I just got married about two weeks ago. I hadn't updated my profile.with my new status and i got.the nomination with my status still as single. My hubby hasn't written ielts yet and if i add him,my score drops as a result Now i am confused, should I reject this nomination? What is the best thing I should.do. my crs without him is 460,if I add him without his ielts,it's 442. He has registered to write in January however.but I am scared of throwing this away......I have been on this for two years. Please help me with advice |

Mmamaroon: Thank you for the indepth To explain better . Ontario documents was 1. Msc 2. 6 years working experience IT 3. IETLS 8.0 4. My cousin ( son to my father's elder brother) who have permanent resident in Canada Which gives me 467 point, and that's why they invited me to apply and pay 1500CAD. So can I use This document for EE application( federal) 1. Msc 2. 6 years working experience IT 3. IETLS 8.0 . I did not include cousin, since they only accept direct family 5 And my 600 point from ontario nomination, with Will this be an issue? Because 1500CAD is not a small money |

You don't need to reject Ontario nomination. When filling your OINP application, make sure you indicate that you are married and submit all requested doc for you and your partner including your POF covering for you and your spouse. In my case, I got married after getting nomination from Ontario and before submitting my application. I included my spouse, spouse did not have IELTS nor ECA and it was approved. Denerystormborn: |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Nobody: 5:25pm On Dec 17, 2020 |
OlakunmiSMELTD: Perhaps you could paste the reference where you read that cousins are applicable for OINP. Where and how did you indicate your cousin to OINP? From what I understand of OINP, they pick directly from the pool (based on CRS and NOC) and from your posts you just got the nomination, so where are you indicating your cousin? In the OINP application form? Also what is the breakdown of your CRS? If the cousin reference is only in the OINP form (application checklist here..... note that there is no reference to family in the province but it may be in the form... no idea: https://www.ontario.ca/document/oinp-document-checklists/ontarios-express-entry-human-capital-priorities-stream-applicant-checklist#section-10 ), then please refer to my previous comment on LOE. Please note this is just my opinion, other people and a VO may view this scenario very differently. |

I might be wrong but I am guessing you included your cousin as your sibling which gave you the additional point. If this is the case then I don't think you actually meet the criteria Ontario used in inviting you. #MyOpinion OlakunmiSMELTD: 1 Like |

OlakunmiSMELTD: To really understand ur point - When completing EE profile- did u select cousin and did u have point awarded for cousin "which I doubt". You will only be awarded point if you had selected him as a brother. If this is the case - he is not your brother he is ur cousin - then your 467 is wrong from the beginning. You only received nomination from Ontario based on the information you have on EE profile and if the infor is wrong - then I am not sure if u can proceed. I know it is really hard now getting nomination - but it is better to do it right. #myopinion |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by sauuron: 5:32pm On Dec 17, 2020 |
OlakunmiSMELTD:I dont understand. The express entry system wont give you 15 points for cousin but it'll give you for what I mention earlier. The only way you'd have gotten the 15 points in the 1st place is if you claimed you had a bro, sis, mom or dad. That would be misrepresentation. I've never heard/read that Ontario chooses candidates based on familial relationships. At the end of the day, you'd have to prove that the person is your bro/sis. Goodluck with that. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Nobody: 5:37pm On Dec 17, 2020 |
Denerystormborn: The Dec 15 OINP draw targeted candidates with a comprehensive ranking system score between 460 and 468 in specific NOCs. Truth is....... had you updated your profile to married before Dec 15, you may not have been nominated. Well, we are where we are, so consider: 1) emailing OINP to ask them ( I don't even know if this is good advice) OR 2) updating your EE profile to married but spouse unaccompanying...would your CRS still be 460 and above? Some people on Canadavisa claim that after getting PNP nominations they were able to edit their EE profiles to spouse accompanying pre ITA....you can search for those experiences for more details. Thinking about this though, it's doesn't seem logical to me because if they had indicated accompanying beforehand they may not have got the nomination in the first place if it was related in some way to CRS. So sorry if I have confused you instead of helping. |
