Glaswegian:Professional contract staff and entry level, who should receive a bigger salary. Infact I'm not having this argument with u. Shell does not pay 2million at entry level with or without tax. |

Gerrard59:It's not an issue of believe, Chevron pays between 150 to 500k for entry level. Nnpc pays around 300k entry for entry level. Shell pays close to 1m for entry level. U name the company in Nigeria that pays 2million for entry level? |

ibuildstuff: I assume you didn't click the link I posted initially. Well, the author like I stated works in the industry and is an authoritative source regarding careers in the industry. Also, I know one or two persons in the industry. Then, with this information, I should believe ibuildstuff? |
Re: Oil And Gas Industry Salary: According To Positions by ibuildstuff(m): 9:46pm On Dec 19, 2020 |
Gerrard59:It's not about even believing sef, u should be logical, how can u think a company will be paying entry level staff 2 million or above in Nigeria. |
Re: Oil And Gas Industry Salary: According To Positions by ibuildstuff(m): 9:48pm On Dec 19, 2020 |
Glaswegian:U said well over 1million. |

ibuildstuff: I never quoted a figure here for Shell. I said my mentee got contract job and was offered N850k. I also said my friend that got permanent job in Shell 10 years ago was earning N850k per month as at that time. |
Re: Oil And Gas Industry Salary: According To Positions by Gerrard59(m): 1:56pm On Dec 20, 2020 |
ibuildstuff: I am beginning to sound like a broken record but the oil industry is not the same as other industries where their main products/services depends on the purchasing power of the country of operation. The industry pegs her remuneration to global standards because staff from Country A can be moved to Country B and same remuneration should irrespective of living costs or standards of both countries. That is, someone from Nigeria who is moved to Norway should earn what is obtainable of the industry and vice versa. So, because 2M looks big to you, it means no oil company can pay the figure? You mentioned Shell paying 1M meanwhile I stated Total paying 2M. Are they the same companies? Must they pay same amount? From your other comments in this thread, you are putting letters into people's fingers by stating things they never mentioned. Take it from me, Total Nigeria (Exploration division) pays entry-level graduates 2M before tax. However, it is your prerogative to believe or not after noting that where your knowledge ends, another person's starts. Thank you. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Gerrard59: Bro don't try to convince them, they won't believe you or they will argue blindly. I have been reading some comments here and I shake my head. The last ExxonMobil GT program that was concluded last year, the total pay on the offer letter was around 36 million gross for MSc and around 33 million gross for ordinary BSc and the monthly pay is around 1.6 million net. Upfront is paid twice a year. The figure I gave above is not based on hearsay, this is something my eyes confirmed myself from the appointment letter that was dished out. A lot of people are shallow minded, when they don't know something and someone that knows tells them, they will be so quick to call someone a bluff. The most annoying thing is that they don't know a single soul working in such company that they can ask, and since the money is so huge compared to what they can ever imagine, they will believe people are lying. Even indigenous companies like SEPLAT pays GT a sum of 9 million naira gross, now what is your mind telling you and IOC will pay? Sometimes before you discredit anyone, please try and do research before arguing blindly and if you can't find any info, please hold your peace and stop showing your ignorance and embarrassing yourself. Just pray you get there.. If you like come and counter my figures above, it is normal here. 5 Likes |

ennyj01: My issue with the poster - ibuildstuff - is that he claims he knows persons working in the industry yet is making false statements here and there. As for Seplat, I knew about her payscale when she last did her recruitment exercise in 2017 (I even wrote about the process on NL). She is Nigeria's highest paying indigenous oil and gas company. Nonetheless, thanks for your reply. 2 Likes |

Dpharisee: You're so right. During the civil war. Brafrans built fighter jet, armor tanks, missiles and IED. According, to a book I read the author said they had 24/7 electricity. They only lack man power. The Brits and Russians knew biafran would have won the war. Because they were smart. They were the Japan of Africa. I wish they won the war. |

Good morning,I need to ask a question here. Do Chevron ask for money From their applicant for I'd check.o? "It should be noted that you are mandated to pay a fee for the IDCheck.io solution process, and be paid early enough before your interview date, if you are interested in the job. You are eligible to pay the IDCheck.io solution process fees hence has been successfully short-listed for a competency-based interview." From Chevron. I need a clear answer, thanks. |
