Not sure but I'm guessing it's offline except they can use previous details registered for BVN, passport etc.. I just attached a screenshot of the licenced registration partners to my previous post. Info is also available here: https://www3.nimc.gov.ng/diaspora/

Thanks

Okay. I'll definitely check them out once the restrictions are eased because I still need my Naija number, can't lose it now after the stress of loading it and using it for a call every 3-6 months.

I tried registring early this year as there was a centre on Fleet Street, near my office but they said they had been asked to waiting for further directive before starting. I do not know if they have started now.

You know you can opt-in for keep my number? You pay a certain fee yearly to keep the number. I know mtn does this.

Oh! I forgot about the whiteHart restaurant opposite the post office, i remember ditching them when i got a better offer from Twin Towers in Bexleyheath due to the limited offerings at a high cost at the time. I only remembered K's Spice because I've eaten there before. Will definitely try them out when I can.

Nigerian/African restaurant?

Thank you. It's Airtel. Will check if they have this option so I can subscribe to it, their self service portal is misbehaving at the moment.

No. It's an affordable Chinese all you can eat restaurant. Needed to host a group of 20 and WhiteHart's offerings were not it at the time so I switched.

9mobile call it extended sim validity. You pay #500 yearly to leave your sim active on the network.

I am not sure the amount other network operators charge for the service

Hi guys,

Please how do I follow up with or track my NI? I am trying to call them, it’s over 50mins now, with no response from their end. It seems I am just waiting in futility.

It seems a thief has been stealing people’s letters in my house. Some of the housemates have complained of not receiving their letters.

I was supposed to have received my DBS & NI by now, but alas, there are no where to be found. I have requested for a DBS reprint and need to follow up with the NI as a classmate I submitted my application 1week before her forms came just informed me that she received her NI this morning.

Advices and suggestions are most welcome, have a nice day ahead.

I laugh at the bolded statement grin
No one will steal your mails or letters. I think you or your housemates must have put in the wrong postcode or addresses.
To always confirm if your address is correct with Royal Mail. Always check this Royal Mail link.

https://www.royalmail.com/find-a-postcode

You can actually zoom into any address just as google maps works. Apparently this is what Royal Mail uses.

The process is what worries me but as a policy is not a bad idea

The policy is ill-judged.
The NIN is not easily obtainable, so why link something difficult to obtain to telephone numbers.
They should greatly ease the NIN process first before making it mandatory for telephone services.
Yet another stupid policy.

I think there is an increase in NI fraud now, a friend just told me about a call she received today from someone telling her that her NI was used for fraud, she stupidly gave the caller her full name and NI. She is not panicking not knowing what the info will be used for.

MTN does it and it does work, but I know someone who had his number disconnected after opting in for it a couple of years back.
He subsequently couldn't use his MTN line. I don't know if this is still the way the keep my number thing works, having not opted in for it myself but anyone interested who still wants functionality should look into it first before opting in.

Before I posted I was certain someone was stealing letters in my house. I don’t want to bore us with details but it’s what it is.

Btw thanks for the Royal Mail link, cheers.

Are you sure that you will be allowed to come back? Countries around the world are banning the UK.

!!!!!!!. Adding a few of these for emphasis. Royal Mail folks have a lot of sticky fingered people working for them. If whatever you are sending is important or has value, quietly use special tracked/signed service. Trust me I’ve learnt from the things I’ve suffered. In hard cash sad

Call them and request to have your account enabled for online transactions.
Their Nigerian number redirects to an Indian call centre, so be prepared for that, its not a scam. wink

I sold my old iphone 7+ on Ebay the buyer paid for 1st class but i sent with 1st class signed for, the buyer waited for a month the item did not arrive, i contacted Royal Mail several times but i did not get a positive result.

The buyer reported to Ebay and Ebay decided that i have to refund him and i did.

i Made a claim to Royal Mail they replied with an apology and a cheque worth less than half of the actual price of the item.

I rejected it and sent them an email requesting for the full value of my item, they replied saying they can not pay more than that.

I have taken them to small claim court to get my money paid in full and i will not stop until they pay the full cost of that phone.

TheGuyFromHR. This is the second consecutive year I have opted-in for this and my number still works. It the second sim on my phone. I recently switched it off because I'm tired of the spam texts that keeps entering.

Plus I was also able to check my NIN enrollment with. So it still works.
