humilitypays: Nigeria can never get it right any day, stop hoping. Nigeria is a black African nation, the highest they can achieve is Lagos, Owerri, Abuja, Kano, Ibadan, Benin, Asaba level. Its their destiny.
The best you can do for yourself if you want a working nation and environment is to plan yourself and migrate out of Nigeria to your dream city where you can succeed and also give your kids a better opportunity in life.
Nigeria as a nation can only get worst than it is now as years roll by.
If you doubt me, in 2023 despite the endsars noise the youths made, they will still act as thugs that will help elect useless President and Governors and Senators.
Tinubu, another criminal minded selfish politician is warming up to become President without shame and some youths are already drumming support for him out of tribal religious sentiments and you expect to get where
Some will say Nigeria will be great again as if there was a time Nigeria was a great country Of course when a child is born, the parents and relatives always hope the child would be successful and great at the childhood stage but as adulthood sets in, the child will show what he can become...so in the 70s and 80s Nigeria was still like a newborn baby the world was expecting much from it making it look like it was doing well then, Nigeria has never done well since 1960. All the leaders from Zik to Tafawa to Buhari are all wicked criminals. Rogues and demons in power!

Quit dreaming jareh I like ur critical thinking, well articulated and real. We are a product of our decisions absolutely. So if Nigeria will ever get it right Smtn has to give. This current political class love the current convenience despite know it’s destroying the country. They are all selfish. The only people who can disrupt this current corrupt and highly redundant state of convenience is our youths. The youths must either take the mantle or find their active place in our governance. It is imperative and paramount. I looked at Singapore and I finally agreed Nigeria is a Zoo. I have never accepted this fact or statement b4 2day bt I look at things and see no meaningful change in thinking, -Not just because of the structures bt how we think and general mentality only few Nigerians reason differently and sadly our leaders even those who schooled abroad encourage more of the Zoo and animal behavior. 1 Like 1 Share |

Nigerian youths of this current generation cannot bring about the needed change in Nigeria, and you know why Their upbringing. Nigerian youths who are drawn from various Nigerian families were raised to believe that questioning an elder is an insult that will bring curses and bad luck to them in life, so whatever old failed fools parading as political leaders do, they feel it is not right to question them seriously because they are elders like their fathers and grandpas, what load of nonsense. Another mentality the Nigerian child have that cannot encourage a radical revolution that will rescue Nigeria is the stupid upbringing they have which makes every Nigerian child selfish. Your mama and papa will tell u don't follow them to that protest oh, don't worry, you will still survive whether bad or good government, Mama Sikiru's son that is now rich, didn't he grew up in this same ghetto, did he fight any government. If you fight government they will kill you, just focus on your academics or work, God will bless you my child. So they grow up with this cowardly, selfish mentality of wanting to be alive forever hoping for a better future that never comes till old age. This upbringing instills fear and cowardice in the hearts of Nigerian child's, making it impossible for them to start a revolution, especially the Southern youths. The only Nigerian youths that have the willpower to start a radical revolution in Nigeria are the core Northern youths, all thanks to their radical Islamic religious practice, but then their corrupt, devilish political elites have used the same religion to hold them down, making them feel fulfilled in hunger and poverty while they and their kids enjoy looted wealth of the people and then use religion to hold the people to ransom. So I see no hope for Nigeria at all. Things will only get worst in Nigeria until something terrible happens and it turns to total anarchy whereby daylight robbery, kidnapping, rape, prostitution, terrorism, trafficking, money ritualism, cultism will overtake every street of Nigeria, making it a totally failed state which may lead to various sections of Nigeria (no longer Igbos alone) demanding to secede from Nigeria. That is where Nigeria is headed. 7 Likes 1 Share |

good4all40: Singapore is a very beautiful country and Changi Airport is out of this world l was there last year.
If Op can permit me to post some pictures l don't like to steal his thread lol.
It will amazed you to know that Singapore got her independence 3 years after Nigeria and the level of the development there is too giant that it might take Nigeria 30 years or more to achieve such.
Singapore is a very small island country infact you can tour the whole country in 2 to 3 hours.
Their electricity connection is underground you will not see a single electric pole on their streets.
I must let you know that Singapore is madly expensive but the quality of life over there will make you want to stay longer and you wouldn't mind or care to spend more of your money, so you must be loaded with cash while going on tourism.
Their law is very strict and they dont joke with it not even with their citizens let alone foreigners.
You can't eat on the train you can't chew gum and shout unnecessary as we do here, people keep to themselves on the train and you will always witness unusual silence on the train, this might look strange at first as a Nigerian but you will soon get used to it.
For Any reason please do not go to Singapore with drug otherwise death sentence is 100 percent certain, trust me they kill their own citizens for drug too no exception and there is no clemency or whatsoever.
You can apply for Singapore Tourist visa both online and at their embassies, as for the online visa, you must have a sponsor that will apply for you either a citizen or PR holder.
The visa issuance can take days or Weeks if you are from Nigeria but they may refuse or grant the visa at their discretion and they hardly state reason of refusal if any.
Getting job in Singapore might be a bit cumbersome if you are not a professional or qualified personnel, don't go to Singapore with the intention to hustle it is not designed for that. Firstly, it is very expensive as you may quickly run out of cash if you are not gainfully employed there.
Secondly, no employer will employ you with a tourist visa the least you can get before you can be employed is LTVP (long term visit pass) but it is very difficult to even get LTVP at this time, Singapore is a very small country and hugely populated so they think their country is small enough for their citizens so they will only welcome foreigners on their soil for long duration of stay base on merits only.
If you don't like Chinese people don't go there because they own 70 percent of the whole population of the country lol.
Singapore is great for Tourism and studies if you are loaded as their schools are expensive too. Please do not go there to overstay your visa, Singapore is not Dubai they will fish you out easily as their country is very small and there is camera throughout the country and you will go to jail because it is a criminal offence and you may ruin your chance of ever stepping into the country again.
Please posts some pictures OP don't mind, saying this on his behalf |

If Nigeria were to be a white or Asian nation, there would have been a deadly revolution that will be in the record of the world. Politicians and their families would have become highly haunted animals The reason why revolution is impossible in Nigeria is because of ethno-religious sentiment, lack of patriotism and widespread mediocrity among the masses. During Jonathan years, Southerners were seeing a messiah in him. During Buhari's years, Northerners are seeing a god in him. "So far the thief in power belongs to the same tribe and religion as mine, it is good." That's our problem. In conclusion, revolution can not take place because the deferent sections of the country won't see things the same way. Nigeria is a mistake of a country, a countr3 not a nation. 2 Likes 1 Share |

That is where Nigeria is headed. U painted a grim picture bt it’s not the end of the world yet. It was same Nigeria people protested during Jonathan’s time and went to the polls to remove him. Our youths are not that naive anymore especially from what we witnessed with Endsars. That is an anthem not just against police brutality bt oppression and bad governance. They will not let it slide this time if we coordinate. I don’t know what some people were expecting from these protests really? Sm wanted as much as the ridiculous idea of a regime change and I’m like how?? In Nigeria via protests?? If Jonathan as cool as he was didn’t think of resigning why wud Buhari?? Dome want to see anarchy from the youths to remove government bt that is unfair the youths alone can’t do it. Probably not Smtn we shud pray to see cos it will be bloody and yet we have a democrat process to fight not like we in a dictatorship. Let Protests Achieve what it shud achieve and we do what left using other means at our disposal. Yes it is dark bt not the end of the world. |
