I cover my face sha We have graduates who do not know the place and import of prepositions in grammar; graduates who do not know the use of adjectives and adverbs; graduates who do not know the place of agreement of nouns and number; graduates who do not know the import of adjectival and adverbial clauses 1 Like |

Karleb: Total bullshit. Very disappointing from such a man. He might as well tell us what Laplace Transformations are. As much as there are many badly trained or groomed graduates, there are wonderful ones as well. He should have told us if graduates of his university are dangerous as well. Useless talk from man that is part of the generation that destroyed the country. 4 Likes |

I'm not blame him at all. The opportunist old stupid man that mocking the wokerholic innocent Nigerian Youths. His generation destroyed Nigeria and scattered everything. Go to his home country in Ekiti and see the properties this man own. Ask him where he got all the money from. Before Afe became attorney General of federation he was a nobody he stolen our wealth and you still have guts to mocking us. Till date this man couldn't account for 5billion that disappeared from federation account during his tenure. I wonder what English got to do with quality life ... Even in America there are many whites that couldn't write a good sentences even Trump also committing errors most time. A Mexican would leaved Mexico to America someone that couldn't even speak English or write English language but he will still find a good job and sending money to his country. America and other western country provides an opportunity for everyone regardless of Tribe,Ethnicity, religious and Language barrier. Can the same thing be said about Nigeria. I just don't know what this generation done to this old fool. illicit: 11 Likes 1 Share |

There are nothing new to graduates from all these grammars he utter out. Few graduates have the problem while majorities of graduate haven't. we thank God parents are not considering the way government are handling education and lack of job to their children after graduating in this country besides knowing the value of education. |

HigherEd: This is where so many Nigerians miss it. Albert Einstein once said, if you judge a fish by its inability to climb a tree it'll spend its entire life thinking its stupid... Or something along that line. Afe is obviously an English professor but I'm sure if you take him out of his area of concentration to a field such as Fluid Mechanics or Medicine he'll develop instant headache. If fluent English is the yardstick for literacy then why do we have dumb people that speak fluent English? 26 Likes 2 Shares |

HigherEd: That's what I thought too, languages are meant for communication not for technical superiority, more over people dedicate their to that niche, so why should I care about transitive verbs when I am into mechanical engineering, dis guys Sha, they just want to enter news. illicit: How can I like this comment infinite times, please? In fact, you are super sensible even more than the Afe Babalola himself, sir. He’s a learned yet he failed blatantly to speak with precision to the unfortunate situation the Nigeria youths are facing at this desperate era. Someone should tell the SAN that no human was born dull. Also, that there’s always a “cause and effect” in this life. Nigeria case is like a wealthy mother with 10 children that has plenty of food in the store. She cooks delicious meal every day. She doesn’t feed the children, leaving them starving days on end. Yet, she always warn them to not beg for food from strangers nor attempt to steal food from the neighborhood. The wealthy “mother” in this short analogy is “Nigeria”, while Nigerian youths are “the 10 children.” If you fail to provide enabling environment for those you are charged to govern; no good road; you deep your dirty hands into public funds to fill your pocket at will; and zero respect for rule of law, yet, you want those you govern to act like people living in countries where their system works flawlessly? What sense do we find in that? Even goats know this is counterintuitive. Someone should tell SAN that his position in this matter is totally wrong. He in fact needs to apologize to the innocent Nigerian youths. We have seen instances of several Nigerian youths who left this country for abroad and making waves beyond imagination. If not for the consequences of the bad government Nigerian youths are facing, I’m sure Nigeria youths would have taken over the world in all areas of life. Nigerian youths are naturally brilliant. The innocent youths shouldn’t be the one to be blamed in this case at all. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

You are eloquent doesn't imply that you are smart. He studied law so English is a major prerequisite in law. There are French artist, German Engineers etc who are doing well in their respective field and can't speak the English language. Yes, we were colonised by the British, just because you can't articulate yourself with the English language doesn't make you less a graduate what is most is important is you are good in your field of study. 1 Like |

Karleb: Don't mind these old yeye people. He probably cannot change his phone wallpaper or change his phone security settings. Does he know what a VPN is or can he use a hotspot ? These old fools keep believing that understanding grammatical structure is the litmus test to determine how educated someone is or not. Can he tell the difference between Alkane, Alkene and Alkyne? Can he explain Polyploidy? Can he manage a vlog or the projector in his office? Can he write computer codes? Youths these days are more successful and educated than those old fools. 9 Likes |
