Open security app, tap the setting icon at the uppermost right hand corner, select boost speed, select lock apps, then choose the apps you wanna lock to ram.

Also, go to phone settings, search for autostart from the settings search bar, select autostart and choose the apps you want to autostart.

It's not that difficult.

The one from genius43 is the easiest if you follow the instructions well.

this works.
thanks a lot.

exactly.

And I can't find a way to lock the app I need running in the background.

oga genius43, olayinkajnr
please nah

I don't think there's anyway to do it. I've tried several options. I've locked the app, set it to No Restrictions, nothing works. The only thing the locking does is prevent the app from being cleared from the recent apps.

If you click and hold the app in recents it should be like this and you then click the padlock icon

Has Redmi 9 gotten android 11 update yet?

Lol, guy why the rush. grin

It's probably launching with the new Mi 11 coming December 29....also launches with MIUI 12.5.

You might have to wait till 1st quarter 2021.

His issue was common with the initial rom on the 3gig ram variant, should have been fixed by now.

I don't think anyone can help, the best anyone of you would do is deflect. But here's the issue anyway:

I can't multitask (that word is even a stretch). Example, I can't be on Twitter and then quickly go to WhatsApp. Twitter will restart, WhatsApp too will restart if I go back to it. Same with all the apps I have. Worst of all, I can't even press the minimise button on any app and then press back button (without even going to another app) without that app restarting. And the phone has generally slowed down.

On the Infinix note I've had since 2015, I can go back to an app I've had opened for days and I'll meet it as is.

For sure Xiaomi is way better than Infinix and Tecno (I'm not in any way comparing the 3 brands), but I enjoy seamless multitasking on that infinix compared to my Redmi note 7.

I've been an ardent reader of this Thread (I don't comment), I got to know about the phone here, and I initially thought I've found a brand to stick with.

Will never be getting anyone of the 3 again ( grin plus, I know it's none of your business

When did this start ? Was there something you did with the phone before it started ?

my rn6pro finally crashed after over 2 years of use without interruption, it gets stuck in boot screen, I've tried both soft and hard reset nothing works, I've even tried flashing the ROM in fastboot, but it doesn't work too, but I would be changing it now either I finally fix it or not, just want to know if note9s is actually a very good device cus I've been seeing a lot of hype about it lately.

Thanks bro. But it is not working. I can hear only my voice. That redmi note 9 is very stubborn. I don't think any application can record calls on it.

I think it's due to the fact that Voice or call recording has been deactivated by Google for Android 10.

So any phone on Android 10 can't record calls. I thought these smartphone OEM's would have found a workaround for it by now. Guess Google maintains it's stranglehold of its OS. grin grin

I think this android 10 update for Redmi 7 actually brought lots of improvement especially in battery. For a 1 year 6 months old phone, this is good.

You can't see any UI changes. But so far, it's a nice update. It's just an android update. If it were MIUI update, you'd have seen changes.
