Abagworo: The capital territory of a state or entity of administrative seat in this case a town is universally pegged at 20km in radius. In this instance, Iho Dimeze and Akabo in Ikeduru LGA are part of Owerri capital development areas or metropolitan . 1 Like |

Amah70: The is usual way of dunces. Dumbass fools are always the first call their opponents dumbo. It is unfortunate you know nothing about strategic importance of cities, engineering approach of construction and development of a city and completely on the goofy depth of governmental initiatives in a city management. If Orlu has you as a factor of relevance, it will sink beneath Amaigbo, Nwangele. |

BastardWike: Learners also read here. Your inability to use plural nouns and verbs correctly in nearly all your posts is becoming nauseating. Stop. |

BastardWike: Stop feeding a troll. Trolling is a lifestyle that thrives on attention and trolls will always have the last word. They are not interested in any logic. Their arguments are upside down and self imploding so there is no point. Considering the number of Imo citizens seeking university admission each year, it is clear that Imo needs more high institutions, yet someone with their correct senses wants one of the existing universities to be shut down and relocated to another area, when the argument should be for more universities to be created closer to the people. The same person wants Okigwe to be happy with a University in another state because it's near to Okigwe. I just feel sorry for his successful neighbours. His mission is to sell the narrative that Owerri is the prostitution capital of the world and true Imo people know that it's a blatant lie. They did the same thing to Aba, using pictures of a few areas to paint the whole city. They succeeded because people engaged them. Ignore them and they soon fade away. 1 Like |

Amah70: Guy, the grammar is correct. What do you know? In some cases you don't observe the rule of Concord which states that plural verbs must go with plural noun. And stop bringing Orlu in this your picture of madness. You are not from Orlu, you are an imposter. Your opinion here does not represent the option of the vast majority of Orlu people. Orlu zone has gotten it's fair share of imo state development and properties. Imo state schools of nursing are located in Amaigbo and Okporo, the immigration training school is located in Umuowa, Imo state University teaching hospital is located in Umuna/Owerri-ebeiri, Imo international market is located at Umuna. And there other new University facilities located in Orlu zone which were closed down by Ihedioha. How many higher institutions are located in Owerri compared to the ones in portharcourt?. Almost all the higher institutions in Rivers State are located within the greater portharcourt metropolis. Stop this your childish nonsense, because it is capable of attracting hatred to free-minded Orlu people from the other indigenes of Imo state who may feel that Orlu people are envious of Owerri development and progress. Every Orlu son and daughter sees Owerri as his second home, at least 48 - 53% of properties in Owerri are still owned by people from the same Orlu zone. 2 Likes |

If its true all higher education unis and polys of govt are in one locality but not in others, that's bad. But the new uni built by Okorocha outsideOwerri, what has the present government done with it. 2 Likes |

BastardWike: Lagos is like Abuja. Gwagwalada and Abaji are parts of Abuja though not yet in the built up conurbations. Some parts of Nassarawa State are part of the built up conurbation but are definitely not Abuja just like Ibeju is empty but still Lagos whereas Sango Otta is a separate city despite being in conurbation with Lagos. 1 Like |

B2mario: Lol. Talk here is about concentrating all government tertiary education institutions in Imo in one area - Owerri, but you rambled about Orlu having international market, school of nursing and half of properties in Owerri being owned by people from Orlu zone. And you see yourself as normal? That aside. 1) Imo state university teaching hospital Orlu is not a university. When it functioned, about 400 medical students from Owerri main campus were coming to the teaching hospital for practical. 2) if 48-53% of properties in Owerri are owned by people from Orlu zone, less than 0.001% of properties in Orlu are owned by people from Owerri zone. Dont you already see that as abnormal? Owerri is distinct from Orlu - only relationship between both is they share Imo state together. Owerri people know that Owerri is distinct from Orlu, that’s why Owerri people lobbied and watched all six tertiary education institutions of government in Imo State located in Owerri - no consideration for Orlu. Because Owerri holds nearly all modern development institutions and amenities of government in Imo state, people from Orlu zone are constrained to abandon their hometowns to buy property and settle in Owerri. Cost of landed properties in Owerri is hundred times the cost of landed properties in Orlu area. People from Orlu are subjected to the double jeopardy of life in building and maintaining two living houses - one in Owerri where modern development institutions and amenities are in tripes or quadruple, then build another native house in Orlu zone where modern development institutions and amenities of government are quasi disallowed. Why did former governor Ihedioha cancel all the new universities established in Orlu zone by Okorocha, but Ihedioha instructed that Imsu be expanded in Owerri in defiance of his government committee recommendations to use Eastern Palm university in Ideato for Imsu. Because Owerri people see Orlu as distinct from Owerri. At the root of all these jeopardy for people in Orlu zone is the absurd location of government institutions that induce modern development only in Owerri area in Imo state. Moderate the imbalance through locating a multi faculty government university in Orlu zone, modernize the towns in Orlu zone to make them attractive even for people of Owerri zone to settle, before we start to build skyscrapers in Owerri but make Orlu and Okigwe go extinct. |

FACE: That man is troll no doubt but he is a very dangerous one. He is busy spamming everywhere with concorted lies and devilish propaganda but the worst thing you will do is to ignore them because he will end up convincing the unsuspecting ones. We have waited patiently over a year now while hoping he will stop his dance of shame but all to no avail, instead he continued to utter rubbish here and unfortunately, some people have started believing his lies. That was the mistake Aba/Abia State people made when their state was being dragged in the mud under the guise of criticizing their irresponsible governors. If they had countered it then, they wouldn't be having terrible image now. A propaganda is steadily being pushed that Owerri is the prostitution capital of Nigeria because it has lots of higher institutions. Now, I have destroyed that perception by providing facts on the contrary. Instead of ignoring them you counter them with superior logic and make them look stupid. If a lie is repeated severally it will start looking like the truth~~Igbo proverb. |

Abagworo: You're a funny man. Gwagwalada is not attached to Abuja town, you will still drive on the highway before getting to Abuja city. The distance between Gwagwalada and Abuja is a massive 47 killometers! On the other hand, the distance between Owerri and Ulakwo is a mere 16 killometers yet we don't count Ulakwo as part of Owerri because they're completely distinct towns with uninhabited forests demarcating them. However, residential houses, offices etc continue from Owerri city center to places like Orji, Egbu, Naze, Avu, Akwakuma etc. Is ShopRite not located at Egbu? Places like Lugbe and Kubwa are now considered part of Abuja. I'm talking about Lekki all the way from Admiralty plaza down that are now completely built up and has merged with Lagos, same with areas like Onipanu, Maryland all the way to Ikorodu or Iyana Ipaja areas. All these places have become part of Lagos city but they weren't years ago. Owerri had just 11,000 people in the 1950's and over the years it has grown beyond Douglas, Wetheral and Ikenegbu layout. Stop confusing yourself. |

BastardWike: A primitive man has more honor than a piimp in the comity of civilized people. You are ready to quench defending your brothel and hotel business in Owerri. Industrialists and other business people, as well as vacation tourists mostly lodge in hotels. Is there any industry or business of repute in Owerri? Is there any Disney Island in Owerri? Is there any curative stream in Owerri? Why would anyone choose Owerri for tourism destination? Answer. Even a child in the kindergarten can tell you that your hotels and brothels in Owerri are mostly for prostituting the hundreds of thousands of of young students clustered in Owerri. I can’t stop reading you from your numerous monikers here. 1 Like |

FACE: THE HATE-MONGERS OF IMO STATE lobbied for, or watched all government institutions that induce development, including futo, Imsu, aifce, polynekede, fercolat, to be in one Owerri area, still fight against having government presence anywhere else in Imo state outside Owerri. AICE campus in Orlu was closed down after the hate mongers lobbied a new military governor to close the campus. Imo state has no university teaching hospital in Orlu because of the sabotage of the hate mongers. Construction of Orlu urban roads and drainage system contract was sabotaged by the hate mongers of Imo state - the job was not completed till today. Probably replying the same person of many many monikers. |
