It's good to do it few days before ovulation. Though the laboratory technician will tell you what day to come for Hsg

I was told to come on day 10 though scared about the procedure but no choice than to do it because all other test came out fine

Just go for it to know the patency of your tubes. Thank God that other tests came out fine. Don't be scared sis, I pray it comes out fine too. HSG is being done after period but before ovulation, usually from day 8 to 12 of a menstrual cycle. But if you have a very short cycle, it is better to do it anytime from day 8 to 10 to avoid disrupting ovulation.

I sort of used them....they try to get you pregnant naturally before resorting to IVF..so after consultation and tests done they prescribed antibiotics to be used by both of us and they advised to try to get pregnant naturally for at least 3 months. Thankfully I got pregnant before having to go IVF way.
