InvertedHammer: Bag holder indeed. Read the signs Bro. Institutional investors and Wall Street banks are trooping in. JP Morgan with all their shakara is investing in blockchain. Paypal and Square are already on it. Mastercard and Visa are planning to launch cards that accept and pay crytpos. Some investment houses like Fidelity is already offering clients investment in crypto as an option, yet you are still listening to old bears. The same people that said retail investors didnt know jack shit only to be proved wrong. |

afroxyz:/ It is nothing new. In a sustained bullish market, everyone and their grandmas turn into successful market analysts. When the market tanks, they disappear and everywhere remains quiet. Market moves in a cycle. With each bull or bear trend, billions are lost. A speculator may be right but may not have enough margin to remain afloat. Banks lose millions in the market all the time. Investment banks and Hedge funds go belly up too. This is why many folks hate the Feds for throwing them a lifeline whenever they blew their funds in the market. But hey! What do I know? Go ahead and keep educating us. / 1 Like |

InvertedHammer: The same way 'seasoned' investors like you sold off in March thinking the world has come to an end. Stay there and be operating on 2017 data while waiting for Wall Street to okay the investment. Finally as we all know, the Market would decide who is right and wrong. |

Donfx: Let's call a spade a spade. FX trading or any kind of CFD trading is actually betting, but with better advantages, information and skill that MUST be learnt. Now that's a difference between betting and gambling. |

Dliquidmetal: Dunce! The fact that there are bitcoin ATMs in the USA still does not make it legal tender. Please quote the law in the US that recognises Bitcoin as legal tender! |

Umarzy: You can unread it all you want it does not change the fact - Bitcoins and all other cryptos are nothing but intangible assets held for investment purposes and are not likely to get legal tender status in the near future! 1 Like 1 Share |

haryomikun: Since you want us to discuss the characteristic of money let us talk about a key one which is portability - Can we really say that cryptos are portable? You can buy an orange and pay for it immediately with cash whether physical or electronic. The same cannot be said of cyptos. You have to start worrying about a 16 character wallet address then you worry about a public key, then worry about private key they start analysing the decimals to come up which the value which should be in the neighbourhood of 0.0000000002356676474BTC All this trouble just because you want to pay for an orange! 1 Like |

haryomikun: The Naira and Dollar afe backed by law which means that you are empowered to use them to make payment withing the physical jurisdiction of the issuing countries. Cryptos are not necessarily illegal but that does not mean that they have legal status as legal tender in any country. The value of cryptos depends solely on marketing hype by the creators with the most prominent being Bitcoin but there are tens of others which have less publicity cos people just wake up and create their own. No country in the world would allow it's national currency to be controlled by cartels The fact is that you cannot force anyone to accept payment in cryptos. Even you will not accept payment for the sum of N100 million in an obscure cryoto such as Zugacoin or Pi |

SavageResponse: You clearly have no clue what you are talking about. Bitcoin has value because to create 1 bitcoin requires resources.. massive resources and it has to be verified by 1000s of computers and nodes. Are you really going to pass up in investing 100 dollars in bitcoin because ignorance |
Re: MBA Forex Unable To Pay Investors In December by haryomikun(m): 3:59pm On Dec 28, 2020 |
SavageResponse:You’re definitely right about some parts of your assertion. However, the premier crypto, Bitcoin never needed any hype before it became a currency. Its ‘hype’ started on a dark web site, Silk Road. Those other cryptos you’re talking about are simply akin to ‘shares’ for raising money for investors. They’re traded as securities. Bitcoin, on the other hand, has a vision to be a currency. Second, I never said Bitcoin (or any other existing cryptos) will become a national or multinational currency. What I mean is that cryptocurrency has shown the world a way to improve on one that is free of debasing and inflation. The central banks of Japan, Canada, Europe, and a few other regions have started research on creating their own cryptocurrencies. Just look at it this way. In King David’s time, payment was made in gold, a heavy metal. In the reign of the Roman Empire, it was coins. Today, payment is made with sophisticated paper. Cryptocurrency is simply just shifting the focus to the digital landscape, one that is proving to be by far the best out of all payment methods. 2 Likes 1 Share |

SavageResponse: Just saw this from you lol. Even bearer bonds aren’t as portable as crypto. Theoretically, a single hard drive can hold $500 billion worth of money in crypto. Even bearer bonds with that value would be heavy to carry. The 16-character private key thingy can also be worked around. That’s the whole point of technology man. You keep finding solutions. If Karl Benz assumed cars would have no viability because there were no roads available at the time, he wouldn’t have invented the car. If Alexander G Bell assumed telephones wouldn’t provide utility because there were no phone lines at the time, you and I wouldn’t be typing from our phones today. I think you’ve been discussing with people who are stupidly bullish on cryptocurrency that’s why you’re opposed to believing. Forget about bitcoin, forget about crypto. Watch something that makes you understand money in its barest form, right from trade by barter. Then you’ll understand better 2 Likes

Re: MBA Forex Unable To Pay Investors In December by Nobody: 4:23pm On Dec 28, 2020 |
SavageResponse: Best Opinion. You surely did economics in school. The companies that are collecting Bitcoin instead of money collect it not because it is going to replace money. They collect it because unlike money , Bitcoin is not stable. If that company collects $15 million dollars from its client today, that $15 million dollars will be the same thing tomorrow because of the stability of the dollars. If that company collects $15 million dollars worth of Bitcoin today, what they got from their client may increase to $25 million dollars worth of Bitcoin just within 24 hours. Meaning the client technically paid 10 million dollars extra because of the instability of the Bitcoin which is backed by hype. Companies that take Bitcoin as payment are taking a calculated risk of gaining more profit as long as it lasts. Will Digital currencies work in the distant future? Yes, they will replace bank notes in the future but they will be something the government of each country has control over. Like Nairacoin for Nigeria , Dollarcoin for USA , Poundcoin for Britain etc. That way , such currencies will be stable because people are not purchasing it as something they will just make profit from but people will be using it as a legal tender. This means the more you export the stronger your digital currency . Can Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies the way we know today become legal tenders despite? Yes , they can only if we will not have Countries and Nations like we do today. That means people will not be natives of their countries or loyal to their governments because Countries will seize to exist in place of a global world. They will be loyal to corporations instead.(abstract) |
