That’s just a lie and you haven’t even achieved 100% electrification access on top of it. Also Nigeria is building a lot more railways then a mere 2500kms for Tanzania it is actually quite poor. We have Bonny island - maiduguri ( 1100km) Lagos-Calabar ( 1000km) itakpe-Abuja ( 450km) Ibadan-kano ( 1400km) then lagos-Abuja ( 1100km) by the way you can halve all of these because they are double or triple tracks so I accounted for that so all in all we’re doing other 5000km of rail in the next ten years along with four new dry ports in ilorin, Ibadan, kano and Abuja.

Nigeria still remains king, I we got a constant power no African country would ever catch up with Nigerian even without power we are large agricultural producers, manufacturing hub of west africa and a significant manufacturing power in Africa as a whole and the amount of people that would come back, in fact the main reason why my family left Nigeria was because of lack of power supply we couldn’t run our factories and the noise of the generator fuels were something else. With constant power you can expect massive economic growth along with thousands of companies moving into Nigeria to manufacture products. Doctors, teachers, scientists, lawyers, accountants etc, in the diaspora would flock back en masse, but alas it is but a dream we need a competent administration come 2023, no more PDP or APC I know this isn’t related to the thread but for the Nigerians out there, there are only three parties we can vote for in 2023
AAC led by Omoyele Sowore
YPP led by Kingsley Moghalu
NYDP a party yet to be registered but keep an eye on them they make claim the votes of the youth in 2023

I agree with you with this one but we have two different Motives of achieving a better country you said you ran away from Nigeria because of lack of power you can see that the country was not going in the right direction. The problem with people like you you are part of Nigeria's problem you keep on pressing the country when the country is not going right. Nigeria is still the one of the biggest food importance in the world, do you know 2 rice factories have just collapsed in the country this month Lake rice has totally collapsed and rice Limited niger Basin both of these companies have gone under in December

For once your actually telling the truth because there was mass flooding and it wasn’t my decision to leave Nigeria it was my parents back in the day, I have never once lived in Nigeria they left because of military rule. I think the only way is restructuring, secession is tok messy and risky but restructuring allows oduduwa, biafra and arewa all to act as their own independent nations under the federal government akk they have to do is pay a tax of 20% of revenue so federal projects can be finished like airports, ports, highways, military etc. It is the only way for Nigeria to succeed as a nation, and Sowore is aware of it.

2023 will be the changing point of Nigeria to see if the people have truly changed, if they have then AAC should get minimum 1 million votes but it depends on how they conduct themselves in future, if PDP and APC are the only ones getting million plus votes then Nigerians haven’t changed and the nation is truly a lost cause.

We Nigerians never want to tell us the truth if you take farming in the country the high levels of illiteracy is not making farming profitable. Instead of building factories up and down they must educate the Farmers so that they can get more production this is one of the biggest problems in Nigeria. Look at dangote's instead of him invested in farmers to plant sugarcane he went to get a huge sugar cane refineries and today what is happening he still import and he still import salt. If there is no raw material what is the use of building factories a lot of superstitions are idle because there is no gas for them to run. Illiteracy is Nigeria's problems instead of building the power stations where the gas is from they go and build the power station in the northern part of Nigeria where there is no gas and right now

And illiteracy actually helps the government as long as the people are illiterate they will continue to vote them in, the problem isn’t necessarily literacy in farmers it is that they are subsistent farmers, farming is not mechanized and that the seeds they use to grow the said plants are not modified to adjust to drought, pests and they are not grown to produce more. Under a competent government they would have started a program to get all farmers tractors, start mass irrigation projects and to give farmers better seedlings for better growth, which is why I’m waiting for 2023, Sowore is the solution to Nigerians problem I don’t care what anyone says

The has problem is true as well, I don’t see the difficulty in the building the power stations at the source, the niger delta region should be where all our power plants are because that’s where all the gas comes from there, in the north they can survive on wind, solar and hydro whilst the south can depend on hydro, tidal and the gas power plants but without restructuring this won’t be possible

IMF: Nigeria Remains Largest Economy In Africa, 26th In The World by ijustdey

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has said that Nigeria maintained its lead as the biggest economy in Africa, in terms of the size of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

But globally, the IMF, in its recently released World Economic Outlook (WEO), reviewed by THISDAY yesterday, ranked Nigeria the 26th largest economy, with an average GDP of $442.976 billion.

The computation was based on nominal GDP, which does not take into account differences in the cost of living in different countries.

The IMF, recently returned a gloomy verdict on the Nigerian economy for 2020, declaring that the nation’s economic outlook was challenging.

The multilateral institution, in its recently released 2020 Article IV Consultation on Nigeria, had stated that the country’s economy “is buffeted” from side to side by a cocktail of issues, including the uncertainty over the COVID-19 pandemic, low oil prices, capital outflows and balance of payment challenges.”

The IMF had stated: “The COVID-19 global pandemic is exacting a heavy toll on the Nigerian economy, which was already experiencing falling per capita income and double-digit inflation, with limited buffers and structural bottlenecks.

“Low oil prices and sharp capital outflows have significantly increased balance of payments (BOP) pressures and, together with the pandemic-related lockdown, have led to a large output contraction and increased unemployment.”

In its estimation, the IMF said supply shortages have pushed up headline inflation to a 30-month high.

[
It said: “Under current policies, the outlook is challenging. Real GDP is projected to contract by 3¼ per cent in 2020. The recovery is projected to start in 2021, with subdued growth of 1½ per cent and output recovering to its pre-pandemic level only in 2022.

The IMF report, which acknowledged the efforts of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to rein in inflation, however, maintained that despite an expected easing of food prices, inflation is projected to remain in double digits and above the CBN’s target range.

“Following a significant decline in revenue collections – from levels that were already among the lowest in the world – fiscal deficits are projected to remain elevated in the medium term,” the report stated.

Recognising various policy measures put in place by the federal government, the Bretton Wood Institution still believes there is need to put in place more broad market reforms in order to address the pressing balance of payment pressures in Nigeria.

The government shouldn’t have to borrow money to mechanize farming, signing contracts with private companies, where the farmers rent to own at a subsidized rate by the government would work to increase productivity in the industry and with introduction of constant power supply manufacturing companies would be forced to come into Nigeria, and i actually was unaware about the cashew and coconut farm problem, but really and truly coconut trees can be grown in badgary under a working nation, badgary would be a resort town and an agricultural town most of badgary should just be fisheries and coconut trees, I’m not sure where cashew can grow in Nigeria but all I know is mechanized farming + Constant power supply = Massive Economic Growth For Nigeria And Massive Job Creation
