I think few banks have exceptions

Thank you for responding fast!
But I thought there is a 100 dollars maximum limit per month. I am surprised that you were able to do transaction of more than 100 dollars equivalent.

I am in a dilemma and I would appreciate your opinions as to which option to go with. My wife works with one of the Big 4s and she needs to give them 3months notice b4 resignation.

Option 1: I land alone, try to settle into the country and make adequate provisions for her and the kid. With this plan, wife and kid would come after her 3months notice period. However, someone told me that if I come alone, immigration may not allow them entry because I am the PA and that the PA is expected to travel with them.

Option 2: She applies for leave from work and We all come together but she and d kid do softlanding. They return back to Nigeria after spending one month and she drops her resignation letter and wait out the 3 months notice period. My issue with the second option is that we would have to spend money on flight twice..

Pls house I need your opinions

@seunpinky... Why not option 3) You both wait back here for 3 months for her resignation process and move together afterwards

Option 1 is possible, the PA is the only one required to land first in case they are not landing together, your wife and kids can join afterwards. This is stated in one of the letters you receive after PPR

Look at what IRCC says here: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=343&top=14

Dependents can land either with the PA or after (certainly not before). IRCC gives you a choice. However, the PA must land first and of course the COPRs for the dependents should not have expired.

So if you don't want to pay for tickets twice, your wife and the child can stay back while she waits out her resignation period. You as the PA can land first.

Soft landing is equally an option but as you said you would have to pay for tickets twice.

Please please please take into consideration the expiry of your COPR - you don't want it to expire while she's waiting out that 3 month timeframe.

This is better , in the process of sending your passport out, getting ready to move, three months look like it’s enough time for your family to handle any outstanding matter in Nigeria @seunpinky.

Option 3 - as others have said, wait together for 3 months until resignation is effective and then move together.

Option 4 - if she is working for the big 4...it is very likely she is currently working remotely from home. She can ask her boss and HR to continue this...even from Canada....she can commit to work Nigerian hours despite the time difference.... and offer to be appraised every quarter. I heard of someone that did this. The dynamics of the workplace has changed and it may never go back 100% to what it was pre-COVID.

For LAWYERS only.

CES OR IQAS

I evaluated my certificate with CES because IQAS was on break. I was refunded the money I paid for my BL.

Only my LLB was evaluated as shown below.

yeah I saw that post and was curious cos I've been having issues with IQAS too so I did small research. Here's what I found

"CES would evaluate your LLB as a four year degree and not professional degree required to practice in a licensed profession. I evaluated with them and they said its a degree since Nigeria still requires you to finish from Law School before becoming a lawyer. It was a sad story!!

I initially went for them because i met a guy from brazil who they evaluated his degree as professional, but they said the system is Nigeria is different, after i wasted money.

My advice is to just chill for IQAS, because it was due to their break at the beginning of the year that made me try CES out.

All the money you have would be needed for this japa process, so you don’t want to be wasting hard earned funds (not to think of the crazy exchange rate)"

Wow. So sorry about this. My LLB from a Nigerian University was evaluated as A Professional Degree. Did you send your BL alongside?

Option 2 which is soft landing is no longer allowed cos of covid. I would suggest you both wait out the three months notice and travel together. Whatever you decide put covid effects in mind.

Thanks everyone for your input. We would be going with the option of waiting back in Nigeria for the three (3) months and we land together.

I appreciate every advice gotten.

Please, I'm at a crossroad. I have an HND but I'm caught between either doing a Bsc top up degree or just going for MBA directly.

I intend to delve fully into Marketing a d possibly leave this country but I'm currently working with a bank. I already have a certification in Marketing from Orange Academy.

Whats the worst that would happen if I do MBA directly?

Let's discuss here please ehn don't be offended......Better to ask your question in the open where several people can opine than to rely on one person whose advice may be flawed...see how people rushed to give seunpinky options today.....if he insisted on PM, he would have lost out on all that!

I'm no good at helping people choose NOC o. I just assist in analysing what you yourself have already chosen.

Look at your job description, get the NOC you think matches it (you must have one already if you are post ITA)....number the NOC duties 1 to 20 and place the number beside the JD that you think matches it...paste here and many eyes will examine it for you.

Good luck!

Oya oo everyone comman help me ooooo.

I chose NOC XYZ a very straightforward NOC, my job description fits into it well but my job title is a skill level C. Will this affect my application?
e.g NOC 3112 I don't work as a physician but an assessor, my employment letter carries Patient assessor i.e Supervise home care services.

Also, will uploading my work reference letter alone suffice?

IMO, I can be wrong but from what have been said here,
Seniors and IRCC says you pick your NOC using your Job Duties not the title. if your JD fits into NOC A, that's it to avoid Mismatch

What Richdee said.

I've always thought that duties are the most important thing. IRCC seem to repeat this over and over. Read through these though and decide.
