Atiku Writes Biden, Lists Nigeria’s Challenges, Seeks U.S Intervention by Odewaleadesoye(m): 11:10am On Jan 21, 2021
The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the last General election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Thursday wrote a message of goodwill to the US President, Joe Biden, urging him to strengthen US-Nigeria relationship.

In a statement titled: ‘Message of Goodwill To President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’, the former vice President enumerated a whole lots of challenges bedeviling Nigeria and asked for his intervention.

His words: “As President Joe Biden begins his tenure as the 46th President of the United States of America, I am confident that this new era will mark America’s regeneration and her reaffirmation as the beacon of democracy to the world.

“As I congratulate President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, I urge them and their administration to strengthen US-Nigeria ties, and help our beloved nation’s war on terror by providing every type of support required to win our war against the insurgency we face and that threatens the peace of our sub region.

“I also look forward to the removal of every travel restriction on Nigerian citizens,
in keeping with the good relations that has existed between our two nations, beginning with the July 27, 1961 state visit of our first Prime Minister, Alhaji Tafawa Balewa, to President John F Kennedy, and continuing over the decades since then.

“As the playwright, George Bernard Shaw once said, America and Nigeria are two nations divided by a common language. And millions of Nigerians and I wish to see that relationship sustained to the mutual benefit of both our democratic nations.

“Congratulations once again and may God bless both our nations and bring about a beneficial tenure for your administration.”

Cool though.

He's being hypocritical and also doing eye service at the same time.

If he's to be Nigerian president, it would definitely be a different story. He's practically and indirectly seeking for America's support from Biden, on his presidential election, come 2023.

This man should rest in Jesus name. This hypocrisy would not take him anywhere come 2023. They are birds of a feather.

All these gburu-gburu he is running up and down, we know the end game.

You would wonder why in a country of more than 300million Individuals, only about ten people keep revolving around governance.

Look around, the richest people in Nigeria are the politicians. They don’t create wealth. They’re not entrepreneurs. They don’t even invent anything. They do not build industries. They’re just an organised crime syndicate (working arms-in-arms), looting the country dry.

In developed countries, the richest people aren’t politicians.

Abeg!

Atiku should rest.

All he does best is loot and share funds with cronies.

All politicians are one and same! Especially when in a position of power.

Which of it did you solve as the Vice-President? Now you want the New President of the United States who has a million problems to solve to come solve the problems you and your lots created...... With due respect and no respect, Atiku, you are stupid.

angry

Nigeria will earn some respect among the committee of nations when she learns to solve most of her problems independently.

You can liken this to the youths of today. The day you show your parents that you can feed yourself without having to ask them for a dime, that's the day their respect for you triples.

I'm not saying that Nigeria shouldn't ask for help but for God's sake, it's not up to 48 hours since Biden assumed office and we're already making requests? We can try solving some problems on our own. The ones that are hard, we can seek the intervention of the international community.

Nice one! However most of you-the past leaders of have woefully failed this nation & there is no hope that any of you recycling yourselves will solve the problem.

We need the US intervention mostly in foreign diplomatic relations but our inhouse problems are ours to solve.Let see how the hypocritical APC government will see this act now.
